Chrononutrition using time restricted eating can lead to weight loss and more importantly if combined with high intensity interval training can be more effective in losing fat and building muscle mass and quality. In the comment below I am including a link to another article on chrononutrition. The main idea is it’s not just how many calories but when and general thinking is eat dinner earlier and taper down the food intake from morning to evening.

Faith & Blue

All are Welcome! Join us for Faith and Blue Monday, October 10 from 11am-1pm. Join us for a Faith and Blue celebration at the Fair Oaks District Station on Monday, October 10 from 11am-1pm. Hinduism is one of the world's oldest religions but Hinduism is more than a religion. It is a culture, a way of life, and a code of behavior. Volunteers from HSS-Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh that live and work in our community will conduct an exhibition of 18 posters to provide a glimpse into various facets of the Hindu Dharmic way and Hindu Civilization. This will provide a better understanding of traditions, culture, contributions and fun facts to deepen awareness of the Hindu culture. This beautiful display will be in the front training room at the Fair Oaks District Station located at 12300 Lee Jackson Memorial Hwy. All are welcome to join us from 11am - 1pm.

Dear all,
Namaskar!

Some of you have seen these photos posted by Embassy on their page and on website but some of you have not seen hence sending one more time these photos. Truly we are all proud of the achievement of our Hindi students!
Sahil, Bhargavi and Anuj have won the essay competition in a category age 10 to 16 and Bhargavi, Anirudha have won in the poem recital and Raya has won in recital of poems in a category age 7 to 10.
One more time I would like to thank Jayeeta for her enormous efforts to make a backdrop for Hindi Divas (hand-stiched)which represented the spirit of our country and Hindi! Ritesh and Samir have help in organizing the sound system at the last minute and Jayeeta and Parul have helped in the hall to put chairs and receive parents who brought their children to participate in this event!

Without these valuable volunteers I cannot imagine the numerous activities of the school which showcase IIS in the community!

Truly and tearfully proud of all my students who have won and have participated in this Hindi Divas. There were total ten winners and six of them were students of IIS or May I say my Hindi Students!

मान्यवर कार्तिक जी एवं अपूर्व जी,

नमस्कार!

भारतीय दूतावास और इष्ट-नेशनल स्कूल के सहयोग से इस वर्ष का हिन्दी दिवस का आयोजन इन्डिया इन्टर-नेशनल स्कूल के प्रांगण में एक सफल और शानदार आयोजन रहा। बालक और बालिकाओं की हिन्दी-प्रतियोगिता, जिस में स्कूल के बच्चों के अलावा अपूर्व जी के प्रयासों की वजह से इस क्षेत्र के अन्य बालक और बालिकाओं ने बहुत उत्साह से भाग लिया. भारतीय दूतावास से आप दोनों की उपस्थिति इन दोनों आयोजनों में उत्साह से भरी रही।

इस अवसर पर सब बालक और बालिकाओं और माता-पिता को भारतीय दूतावास के अधिकारियों से मिलने का मौका मिला। दूसरे आयोजन में जिस में कवि सम्मेलन के साथ भारतीय दूतावास की तरफ से पुरस्कार वितरण का आयोजन था सभी विजेता बच्चों के लिए एक विशेष यादगार घटना रही, जो उनकी यादों में हमेशा रहेगी. हिन्दी दिवस के अवसर पर भारतीय दूतावास का इन गतिविधियों से जुड़ने से हमारी भावी पीढ़ी का भारत से परिचय गहरा होता है।

नोर्दन वरजिनिया और वाशिगंटन शहर के सबर्ब में पिछले चालीस साल से इन्डिया इन्टरनेशनल स्कूल की सतत उपस्थिति हमारी विराट सन्कृति के जादू को एक मशाल बन कर प्रज्वलित कर रही है. हिन्दी शिक्षण के क्षेत्र में स्कूल की उपलब्धियों में हिन्दी कक्षाओं के अलावा हमारी अन्य हिन्दी की गतिविधियां भी स्कूल को अन्य हिन्दी स्कूलों से अलग खड़ा करती है, जैसे की अभी तक 2000 से 2021 तक करीब 100 से ऊपर विद्यार्थियों ने हमारे यहाँ हिन्दी भाषा में Fairfax County द्वारा दी गई हिन्दी की परीक्षा में उत्तीर्ण हो कर हाई स्कूल का credit प्राप्त किया है, जो अपने आप में एक बड़ी उपलब्धि है। हिन्दी में हाई स्कूल का credit प्राप्त करने के लिये हमारे छात्रों को तीन अनुच्छेदों के दो निबन्ध हिन्दी में लिखने पड़ते हैं और विषय परीक्षा स्थल पर ही दिये जाते हैं.

हिन्दी सीखने के अलावा स्कूल के हिन्दी छात्र हिन्दी भाषा में लिखे बाल नाटकों में भी पिछले चालीस सालों से भाग ले रहे हैं। इन नाटकों का कथानक विशेष रुप से चुना गया था ताकि छात्रों में भारतीय इतिहास और सन्कृति का प्रवाह सहज रुप से हो. इन बाल नाटकों की किताब “भारत भूमि” एक ऐसी नाटकों की किताब है जिस के माध्यम से हम हमारे छात्रों को ही नहीं परंतु भारतीय सन् कृति और इतिहास के विविध पहलुओं से उन भारत वंशी छात्रों को भी परिचित करा सके जो प्रवास में रह कर भी हिन्दी सीख रहे हैं और अपनी जड़ों से जुड़ने का एक सार्थक प्रयास कर रहे हैं. यह नाटक की पुस्तक 2011 में भारतीय दूतावास और इंडिया सन् कृति स्कूल के मिले-जुले प्रयास से छपी थी। आज़ादी की अर्ध-शती पर आयोजित नाटक महात्मा गान्धी, भगत सिंह और सुभाष चन्द्र बोस के जीवन पर आधारित था. जब स्टेज पर हमारे नन्हे बाल कलाकार "साईमन कमीशन वापस जाओ" और "भारत माता की जय हो" नारे लगाते स्टेज पर से गुज़रे तब बहुत से दर्शकों के आँखों में एक नमी थी.

“भारत भूमि” पुस्तक के संदर्भ को दोहराने के पीछे बस यही कामना है कि पुन: आप इस पुस्तक का अवलोकन करें जो दूतावास के पुस्तकालय में मौजूद होगी और इस पुस्तक को भारतीय दूतावास के हिन्दी शिक्षण से ऐसे जोड़े ताकि केवल हमारा स्कूल ही नहीं परंतु यह पुस्तक उन सब हिन्दी पाठशालाओं को भी उपलब्ध हो सके जो भारत के बाहर भी हिन्दी शिक्षण के साथ सक्रिय रूप से जुड़े हुए हैं। अगर पुस्तक आपके पुस्तकालय में मौजूद नहीं है तो कृपया संपर्क कीजिए।
