While I'm sure your teachers and staff work hard to ensure student safety, I have to wonder why you would hire such a hateful, angry, mentally unhinged person such as Steven Ray Prichard as a "resource officer"? You put a person who can't control his anger and sends messages like the one below to people he doesn't even know in charge of STUDENT SAFETY?!?! He was booted & banned from our football group for posting insults & hatred towards Group Leadership after his post was removed because it was against our group rules. THIS is how he responded and HE'S in charge of safety?!?! You may want to re-think that after reading his hateful, angry message. I want parents to know what kind of person is responsible for the safety of their CHILDRREN. An adult toddler who allows his anger to surpass what little common sense he has is definitely not the person I'd want watching out for MY kids safety. He sent this message to my husband not knowing it was I who was using his profile Saturday. THIS is how he responded when he broke the group rules and had his post removed; a so called Law Enforcement Officer sent this nasty, hateful message because he was held to the same standards as ALL group members are. A person who is supposed to uphold the law - except when it applies to him obviously - can't follow the rules and reacts this way when he's found in violation of the rules is your SAFETY officer. I'm sure there are others who have received hateful, angry messages from this hateful, angry man and they probably ignored it. But I'm not them and will make sure his anger management problem is exposed so he can't hurt any student and so he can get the help he seems to so desperately need. I am sending this same message to your BOE and to the department that handles Resource Officers. Between all of you I hope the fact this person does not have the temperament nor the patience to be a resource officer (much less a police officer) is realized. I will also be sending this to the parents of students at Parkway Elementary so they can decide if THEY want their kids around such a mentally unhinged person with SERIOUS anger management issues. It's in your hands now Parkway. Do you care that your resource officer sends hateful angry messages to people he doesn't know because HE broke rules? Do you REALLY care about your students safety? If so then do the right thing and take action against this man or make him attend a FULL course of anger management therapy before allowing him back in your school. God forbid a student or parent is hurt or injured by this person because they were "angry". It will be YOUR fault. I will gladly testify I tried to warn them about him but they ignored the warning. Hopefully it won't be at a manslaughter or murder trial. With his uncontrollable anger, I wouldn't be surprised. Not one tiny bit. Choose wisely Parkway!

Please tag any military families that you know to this post. I am searching for volunteers to help our district better serve military families all year around.

April is the Month of the Military Child. These little ones hold down the homefront while their parents serve, they switch schools at a moment's notice and many will go on to fight for our freedom as well. Thank you to all of our military kids out there -- here's to you!

(Turn up your volume! Our little 6 year old narrator is a military kiddo too ❤️)
