You've heard us talk about subconscious strength, but what really is it?

Subconscious strength is all about increasing your stability and strength in the end ranges of motion of functional movements. When your body is strong and confident in the most vulnerable sections of movement, you ensure your body can subconsciously stay strong and safe, without needing to think about it.

Your body is most prone to injury when you're not thinking about safe movement: in the middle of a softball game, kayaking with friends on the lake, while playing with your kids on the trampoline.

By intentionally working IN the gym, you can keep yourself safe outside of the gym, without having to focus on it.

Because lets be real, no one wants to obsess about moving with excellent form 24/7. We just want to have that strength without thought.

Subconscious strength: focus on the fun and let your body tap into excellent movement subconsciously.

Your gym's programming is a big deal. Are you CONFIDENT that they know what they're doing?

The workouts alone aren't enough of a guide. Like this one, for example. This is a FUN workout. You might see this workout programmed in any typical CrossFit gym. But without the right sequence, this workout isn't going to give you what it could.

This workout in particular is great if you're in a pre competition phase of programming. Outside of that specific niche, it's a waste of time, and a distraction from efficient progress.

If you are ok with random progress, enjoy random programming. But if you want measurable, reliable progress, you've got to have intention behind the cycles of programming you participate in (and if your gym isn't specifically explaining how each cycle builds on the next, there's a very good chance they aren't confident in their ability to program intentionally.)

Fun is great in fitness, but it isn't everything. Find you a gym that does fun AND effective. Oh wait, you've already found one... its US!

Maybe you’ve tried to join gyms in the past and when you showed up, you didn’t know what to do. You get on a treadmill or elliptical and break a little sweat. You’d love to use more of the equipment and maybe lift some weights but it’s a bit out of your comfort zone. You don’t really know what you’re doing and you don’t want to look silly so you stick to the treadmill.

You’ve thought about joining a group fitness program instead but that’s a bit intimidating too. You don’t know the exercises, you’re not “in shape”, and you’re scared that you’ll look silly.

1. You don’t need to be a gym rat or competitive athlete to be a part of our community. We’re going to meet you where you are. There’s no need to “get fit” before starting with us. Everyone’s at a different level with different goals.

2. Everyone who starts with us starts with a comprehensive assessment to help you understand the way you move, and if we’ll need to adjust anything for you to keep you safe and pain free.
