Thank you @Idaho State Department of Education for creating an innovative and safe way for students to take assessment tests remotely.

Many families attended school virtually before the pandemic for a number of reasons, some of which make the in person testing infeasible. These issues, some health related are of course exacerbated by the pandemic.

We hope Arizona and other states follow Idaho's lead on this front.

SLI 2019 number 5 is underway. Champion Ed is pictured with Karlynn, Brian and Joe.

We can’t thank Karlynn Laraway ( Idaho State Department of Education, Director of Accountability and Assessment), Brian Armes (Manager, Idaho Office of School Safety & Security ) and Joe Bongiorno (Meridian Fire Department Deputy Chief - Fire Marshal) enough for being such a wonderful part of our Summer Leadership Institute workshops throughout the state. (Not pictured are Craig Durrell and Shawn Harper who also helped at other SLI’s this summer)

This year’s theme was “We are all in it together” and we hope the attendees got to expand on that message.

We spent time of the 5 pillars of a board meeting and the work of the board. The deeper dive into data was great and the chance to take time learning from school safety professionals got the members talking.

Thank you to everyone who attended! We can’t wait to see you at convention!

Oh... what are the 5 things?
