Mamas, we're all doing the best we can.

Here's to car pizza!

(And always take time to )

There's Leftovers-For-Dinner-Tired, Breakfast-For-Dinner-Tired, Microwave-Quesadillas-For-Dinner-Tired, Granola Bars-And-Grapes-For-Dinner-Tired, and I'm honored to introduce: $5-Medium-Pizza-Served-On-Napkins-In-The-Car-Tired.

The recipe for this meal is simple- all you have to do is pull over and hand out slices to your strapped in kids. Beverages? Saliva. Side dish? The view out the window.

I know it's only Wednesday but I'm all done. I'm not sure if it's the three week long sinus infection turned into the most evil cold virus I've ever had- did you know you can get a canker sore on your uvula? Yeah, the dangly thing in the back of your throat. It can get a canker sore. What does it feel like? Like a French kiss from Satan that's what. I'm done. Finished.

Between that and, oh I don't know, the imminent threat of WWIII every time I turn on the news, car pizza just feels right.

Moms should rule the world, do you know why? We'd be too tired to fight with each other. There'd be no war, just incredible innovations in the laundry sector, free childcare for all, and government subsidized wine coolers. Every grocery store would be a drive-thru. Montessori sleep-away camp for three-year-olds would be a thing. Every teacher would be given a home, six-figure salary and regular massages in exchange for abolishing both the science fair and homework in general.

Lego Friends, Caillou, and that weird Barbie Dreamhouse show would be canceled. All Shopkins would be confiscated and publicly burned. Goldfish crackers would be fortified with all of the vitamins and minerals a child needs to grow strong. A safe, natural, non-habit forming, zero stigma sleep aid for children of all ages would be brought to market.

It would be utopia.

But until then, we have car pizza for under $6 and all the Advil you can (safely) eat. I guess it's not so bad. The kids are cute.

Hang in there, messes. Do what you can. Don't let anyone judge you. Bedtime's coming.

Love, Bunmi

We're thrilled to be at the Baby Bump Expo NW this weekend with our activity cards (of course) and experiential homemade playdough!

It's so easy and so fun. We make it on the reg at Nurture U. Here's our favorite recipe:

1 cup water
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/2 cup salt
1 tablespoon cream of tartar
A tablespoon or two of dried Jello mix
1 cup flour

Combine wall of it in a saucepan and stir over medium heat until playdough consistency. The cream of tartar makes this dough last 6 months or longer, so resist the temptation to omit this ingredient if you don't have it on hand. The Jello gives it color and scent! Store this dough in an airtight container or a Ziploc freezer bag.

And come see us, Seattle!

Teaching babies to eat food involves more than just putting it in their mouths. Once they can sit, place them in a secure upright seat and show them utensils and talk to them while you're cooking in the kitchen - about how you're following a recipe, peeling carrots or frying bacon! They love to watch and learn.

See more great tips and tricks for interacting with your wee ones in our pack of 80 activity cards!

I Really Am Enjoying Every Minute: A Letter To My Last Baby

"I know it’s time to move you out of our room. But each morning I wake up and peek over at your big smiling face. And the thing is, if I could scoop up each of your siblings and plop them back into the rock n’ play next to my bed, even for just one more night, I would. So for just a few more nights, I’ll keep you close."

A sweet letter from Scary Mommy:

I Really Am Enjoying Every Minute: A Letter To My Last Baby All of your firsts mean I am saying goodbye to stages of my life I have cherished. I’ll celebrate with a lump in my throat because you are my last baby.
