Our float for the homecoming parade this year! Our theme this year was “Black Positivity.” We wanted to highlight the many great individuals who contributed to the culture throughout the years.

Tomorrow's topic surrounds cultural appropriation. Who is exempt and who isn't? Very relevant topic as Halloween approaches! This discussion will be held in the SUB at the Student Diversity Center.

This Tuesday, Oct 17th at 7pm, join us for Talk-O Tuesday!!

Topic: Cultural appropriation: who's exempt and who's not?

Thank you to everyone who supported and contributed to the Lemons to Lemonade event yesterday! It is always great to see a community come together to celebrate diversity 😊 09/26/2017

This Saturday (9/30), the Idaho Black History Museum will be hosting a fundraiser dedicated to standing against a local White supremacy rally. Our organizations along with the Boise State Inclusive Excellence Student Council, Boise State University’s Intertribal Native Council, and Boise State University’s Organización de Estudiantes Latino-Americanos will be present.

"With 'Lemons to Lemonade,' we are ensuring safety for the community. Beyond that, though, we are also promoting an event which will benefit local groups of cohesion and diversity."

Come visit us this weekend at the Anne Frank Memorial from 11:15-12:15 and donate here: To contribute to the fundraiser and to stand against this rally of White supremacy, we are urging the community to pledge an incentivized sum per each hate band that performs. By this, we mean one pledging $1 for every one of the six bands playing, equating out to $6 in total, or we mean pledging...

It is so great to see that this organization has grown from what me and St. Mark Entertainment world (Emmanuel Ugo Eze mark) started in 2012. We saw that the African student association was not thriving and decided to come together and recreate it. i remember the countless meetings we had and the bumps we went through. i remember creating the name and all of us voting on which one would be the best. To everyone that is in the group keep moving strong and showing our culture to the people in boise. i moved to kentucky and go to the University of Kentucky and am now apart of the african association here so if yall need ideas just message me

Love and miss you all:) 02/12/2016
