5 full time openings for ages 2 to a young 3. These children will attend kindergarten in 2022. We also have 1 4-day a week opening (Mon-Thurs) and 1 2-day a week opening (Mon and Wed)

We have an opening for a toddler teacher at our Boise Bench area preschool, effective immediately. This position will be 40 hours a week and will work with children who are age 18 months through 3 years (toddler age). Hours are 9:30 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
A qualified applicant must have experience working with toddlers and preschoolers, or equivalent experience in another relevant field. Preschool teachers must be patient, loving and energetic. Little children require consistency, yet there are surprises around every corner. Therefore the applicant must be able to work within a routine that helps the children know their boundaries and also embraces flexibility. Applicant must be a team player who is willing to engage with the children, read to them, teach them songs and able to sit on the floor to interact with them. Applicant must also have experience in developing lesson plans and activities that are age appropriate for the toddlers and preschoolers or be willing to learn these skills. Individual must be, or able to quickly be, licensed with Boise City, which includes Pediatric First Aid and CPR certified. Additionally, the applicant should be familiar with the Idaho Stars program. We are a QRIS associated childcare preschool, and are currently working at the Step 2 level. Applicant must be willing to complete all of the requirements to continue with this program. Yesterday our Kootenai Kids watched Air Force One take off from Gowen Field, WOW! The children cheered with joy and wonderment. Thank you to our thoughtful parent, Robyn, Charley's mom, who tipped us off to be sure to be outside then!

Kootenai Kids Preschool/Childcare has the following openings: Infants-1 full time only, Toddlers (14 months - 2.5) 4, Preschool (3-4) 2 and Pre-K (4+) 4.
