If you or anyone you know is looking for a wonderful and enriching early childhood education experience, we have just a few spots still available for this coming summer and/or school year! Contact us soon for more information.
A recent parent testimonial:
“Northview has been the greatest experience for our child! The school has set such a high standard of kindness, learning, fun and professionalism for early education. In the first few weeks, our child made massive leaps and expanded his social confidence and curiosity. Northview’s environment allowed him to make those leaps at his own pace. It’s a total thrill to hear his enthusiasm when he tells us about his day at school. He’s very proud of his classroom, teachers, and friends.” –Northview Parent

“The essential thing is that [the child] should know how to perform these actions of courtesy when his little heart prompts him to do so.” Maria Montessori
Many of us have a tendency to try to push manners onto children: “Tell her sorry now.” “Give your friend a hug.” “Say thank you to that man.”
...
But children don’t need directives to do good, they need modeling of what “the right thing to do” actually looks like in practice.
...
If, in our own lives as adults, we say sorry when we’re wrong, hug friends when they’re hurting, give thanks to those who deserve it, then we’ll find that over time children mirror our caring and thoughtful behavior.
...
As Maria Montessori once said: “The essential thing is that [the child] should know how to perform these actions of courtesy when his little heart prompts him to do so.
...
The best way to instill genuine goodness is to be a shining example of it ourselves — an authentic individual whom a child can look up to and eventually emulate in his or her own unique and loving way.

Thank you so much to our amazing Northview PTO for helping clean up the school’s garden beds and yard for the coming winter. We were lucky enough to have a couple hard-working teens join the effort, as well as the owner of Gold Feather Gardens (the aunt of two of our students). It was a great turnout and the weather was perfect! 🍂
