Wassmuth Center for Human Rights

Comments

I recently published a 540 book entitled Marienbad & Beyond, available world wide on Amazon, that vividly describes the development of that famous spa town of Marienbad that was visited by thousands of Jewish visitors annually. The book contains a 60 page picture gallery that captures those bygone years of pre war Europe. Then the war broke out and the book describes in great detail the atrocities that some family members suffered, but also describes in detail those who miraculously survived and had the courage to rebuild Jewish communities in many parts of the world. It is truly a book of the last century with an 80 year journey around the world.

Thank you to Flying M Coffee Garage for letting us know about the upcoming Wassmuth Center for Human Rights to be built at the Anne Frank Memorial in Boise.
Have you all seen this?
Any information on the signs arriving in Chubbuck?
Just a hunch, but you all might want to ask authorities to interview this guy about his whereabouts last month in connection with the Memorial vandalism.
Can you make a yard sign and poster available of this billboard?
I stand with Wassmuth Center for Human Rights!

Home of the Idaho Anne Frank Human Rights Memorial The Center was founded in 1996 to construct a memorial to human rights. In August 2002, that vision became a reality when the Idaho Anne Frank Human Rights Memorial opened to the public.

Today, thousands of school children and adults tour the Memorial each year and participate in our programs.

Idaho faith: What should concept of mask, vaccine mandates be compared to? The Bible To liken public health policies to the Holocaust, racism and sexual assault is an act of either ignorance or malevolence — or both, writes Rabbi Dan Fink.

Downtown Boise restaurant requires proof of COVID-19 vaccination or negative test

A mask is not a yellow star and a business that cares about the common good is not N**i. Words matter … and so does actually studying history.

Downtown Boise restaurant requires proof of COVID-19 vaccination or negative test Kris Komori, the chef and co-owner of KIN, told The 208 that they've received a lot of feedback after the business announced requirements for its new tasting room.

Comparisons of health measures to segregation and the Holocaust are ignorant, harmful

“These comments are not just ignorant; they are also dangerous.”

Comparisons of health measures to segregation and the Holocaust are ignorant, harmful If you think that a restaurant refusing service to unvaccinated people is the same thing as the extermination of 6 million Jews, you clearly do not understand who the N**is were and what the Holocaust was.

Our Story

The Wassmuth Center for Human Rights, Home of the Idaho Anne Frank Human Rights Memorial, grew out of a 1995 effort by a group of concerned individuals and civic/ business leaders to offset the negative image of Idaho as a place of intolerance and hatred. Over the past 25 years, the Center has become a respected nonpolitical institution whose primary mission is to promote respect for human dignity and diversity through education, and to foster individual responsibility to work for justice and peace.

To achieve this mission, we provide educational programming and content for teachers and students – both in the classroom and on-line. Also, over 10,000 people are educated through free docent-led tours of the Memorial each year. Finally, we provide support for companies and municipalities looking to establish or refine their own human rights initiatives.

Moving forward, we expect to become the primary source whenever recovery from a human rights crisis can be eased by our programming. To meet this goal, we need to deliver timely, impactful content that elicits meaningful dialogue. Success will require technical and content development expertise that delivers best in class programming one-to-many as well as one-on-one. Our goal over the next three to five years is to become a leading institution for human rights education across the state of Idaho and beyond.
