[01/26/14]   I love Oz and James, and the DVD will be returned today before the Library! closes (open 12-5pm Sundays) today. I swear you will learn a ton about wine and France if you watch all six episodes. You will also recognize wine makers and get a chance to see them and their wineries. It is so fun to laugh, learn and travel all at the same time. You Tube this, Netflix it or borrow from the Library!, just promise me you will watch it - it will make me feel like I am still contributing to your wine experiences! But no guilt if you don't! Cheers.

[01/19/14]   Sorry everyone, "Oz and James' Big French Wine Adventure" will be checked out from the Library! until Tuesday, Patrick and I have three more episodes to view. You guys have got to watch if you haven't already! It is truly what Patrick and I love about wine - every bit of it! Cheers.

[01/12/14]   I just picked up "Oz and James' Big French Wine Adventure" - it is GREAT stuff. Just now, I watched James take his first sips of Bordeaux and there are tears rolling down my face because I am laughing so hard. This silly show is what the wine "thing" is all about, if you haven't see it - it is a must! Of course I found this 2 disc show at the Boise Library! so you can get it there - but not for 7 days, it is mine until then. Cheers everyone!

Happy New Years Eve everyone, I hope you are doing just what it is you desire on this special evening. If by chance you are wondering what to drink? I will be sipping the Torre Oria Sparkling Rose (super yum). You can grab a bottle at Tastings on Apple (385-9463) or at the Co-op. Call first, just in case - or grab the Saint Hilaire Sparkling - you will be glad you did.
Cheers everyone - we miss you!

[11/29/13]   Hello Former BCV Customers!

Just wanted to let you know that Bryan Hinschberger from Amphora is hosting a tasting of several vinos tonight starting at 5 until 8pm at Tastings, located at 2447 Apple Street in Boise. Brian pours great wines, and on board for this evening is the 2001 Domino lV Technicolor Bat, a biodynamic vino from OR. He also has an old world style, old vine, Sangiovese from Tuscany that he says rocks! plus a few more of course.
This event should be a great treat after a busy two days.
Cheers everyone.

[11/16/13]   This is the first Friday in five years that we have not had a tasting. I am missing our little place, seeing who will stop in and of course the wine our distributor would bring. Lots of fun, lots of learning, and lots of cheese and crackers. Cheers everyone!

I always did, so tonight I am going to try and play the game while we taste wine (5 great French wines folks). I am not sure if there is a game, but from all the BSU stuff everyone is wearing, I am thinking there is. Wine and football, of course! Cheers everyone

Do you remember this wine?
It has returned. If you don't remember this wine at all, it is a big, dry, plumb skin and cherry sipper. Great with food and when it opens up a bit, great by the glass. A customer favorite to be sure and we have it here! Cheers everyone.

[07/23/13]   I opened my favorite bueno cheapo Sangiovese, the shop and it will be open until 7pm this evening! Big, smooth almost velvety and full of ripe black cherryness (is that a word?) come on down and give it a try. Cheers
