Hardships from the COVID-19 pandemic continue to be felt across the economy. Currently, there are well over 300,000 FHA borrowers who are at least 60-days delinquent on their mortgage but, have not sought help to avoid future foreclosure.

If you’re a homeowner with an FHA-insured mortgage and need assistance, visit the COVID-19 Resources page.

Don't forget, it's Piggy Bank Beauty Contest time!

The Idaho Financial Literacy Coalition is holding our annual Piggy Bank Beauty Contest, with a chance to win a $75 IDeal College Savings account, AND (hopefully) the chance meet Governor Little in April.

The Coalition has run this contest for 11 years running now. Intended for 3rd-6th grade age children, it is a great way to promote the concept of savings to young children, make it fun, and reward the winners with a scholarship for their very own 529 College Savings plan. As an added bonus, four winners are invited to the Governor’s office to meet the Governor and other dignitaries at the awards ceremony, which is held early in April in conjunction with our annual April Financial Literacy Awareness Month Proclamation Signing (subject to whether in-person events are permitted in April).

Please help spread the word to parents, teachers or youth groups that work with 3rd-6th graders.

The contest coincides with America Saves Week, which this year is February 22nd-26th. However, we are accepting Piggy Banks at all Idaho Mountain America Credit Union locations anytime starting NOW!

This information and the forms are also available on our website, www.idahoflc.org.

Here are some free classroom activity worksheets parents and teachers could consider using to tie into the piggy bank activity:
