Just wanted to send a huge THANK YOU for Friday. You guys put on an amazing graduation ceremony for the kids.

I actually cried, and anyone who knows me knows that it takes a lot for me to cry.

I jokingly say I can’t wait for Jeremiah to be done with pre-k, but it’s such a bittersweet moment. He came to you guys having been away from home for only a few months at a different location, and when we transferred him over, I feel it was the best decision we could have made.

You guys have been on this journey with me, supporting Jeremiah through all stages of his growth while I've been a single mother, working, completing my RN program, and now finishing my midwife program. I have to say, while it’s never 100% easy, it’s fulfilling because I know that Jeremiah is well cared for when I leave him at school.

Because of all the support and love you've given him, he will go to kindergarten with a positive background behind him.

So again, thank you for welcoming Jeremiah, accepting Jeremiah, supporting Jeremiah, and loving Jeremiah. Thank you for being patient with me, hearing me out when needed, working with me, and supporting me through the good and bad. Jeremiah and I will forever be grateful.

Is your child transitioning into preschool this year? Here's what to expect as they transition from the toddler classroom to the preschool classroom at New Horizon Academy 👇

What is different?
🆕 A larger focus on school-readiness skills.
🆕 The circle time/group time is extended.
🆕 Outdoor playtime is extended.
🆕 Preschoolers may use a different playground. (Varies by location. Please speak with your director for details.)
🆕 Throughout the year, as part of our Caring Beyond the Classroom program, children engage in activities and projects that help spread kindness and positively impact the local community.

What is the same?
✔ Loving and caring teachers who are committed to providing the highest level of care.
✔ High level of communication. Our teachers use an electronic communication tool to communicate with families throughout the day.
✔ The implementation of the SEEDS of School Readiness emergent literacy curriculum continues in the preschool classroom.
✔ Menus are the same, and the daily schedule is very similar.
✔ Potty training continues, as needed.
✔ Preschoolers will recognize some of their friends from the toddler classroom.

Saying goodbye to our students is never easy, but moments like these make it truly special.

Our Stillwater, MN school received a heartfelt farewell banner and balloons from a family whom we've had the pleasure of providing childcare for over 8 years. Their thoughtful gesture is a beautiful reminder of the meaningful relationships we build and the lasting impressions we leave.

While it's bittersweet to see our children move on to new chapters in their lives, we are so thankful to have had the opportunity to teach them and witness their incredible growth during their most formative years. 💙
