What an incredible year it has been for the podcast!

We had 4 NYT Bestselling authors including Elizabeth Gilbert, several prestigious doctors, a Grammy award winning musician, and many addiction experts all sharing their stories in hope of helping others heal from addiction.

I created a blog post with a list of the most popular episodes of the year which you can find here:

Happy New Year! xoxo

We are so hard on ourselves.
What I know for sure is we can’t hate ourselves well. This audiobook is one of my all time favorites. It even has guided meditations!

I can’t get over how profoundly healing this daily reader has been for me.

In a world that often encourages us to rush through life, "The Book of Awakening" reminds us to slow down, be present, and cultivate a deeper connection with ourselves and the world around us.

Through his poetic wisdom and profound insights, Mark Nepo's book, offers a guiding light that will stay with you throughout the day.

The inner critic might tell you “you should be further along than you are” but that’s a lie. None of us are ever done. Think about the person you admire most in the world. That person has work to do too. So why not love yourself exactly the way you are now? 💕

We all need to disconnect some times. Be gentle with yourself ❤️

So you’re saying there’s a chance…
But seriously, why not? Good things happen all the time, so why not you? Sometimes you just need to believe it before you see it❤️

I see you. Keep going 🙏🏼❤️

Truer words have never been spoken. We’re all self centered 😂

“A course in miracles” states that ultimately everything boils down to either love or fear. But fear isn’t all bad. It has helped us survive, but it is love that helps us to flourish. ❤️

We’re going live today to share a tiny hack that makes a huge change in your ability to prevent relapse.

If it worked, we would be better already 💖

Reinventing your identity is part of recovery. It’s really about recovering your true self. Thats why “I am” statements are so powerful. Whatever follows I am becomes our reality. Try saying these out loud and notice how you feel: I am loved. I am enough. I am peaceful. I am free. Whatever you repeat, often becomes your belief. It becomes part of your new identity.

I had a sponsor point out to me that everything I went through made me uniquely qualified to help those just like me. She was right ❤️

This is really a reminder for myself, but I’m curious who else is committed to daily self care & personal growth?

One of my biggest fears is to die without reaching my potential because of my own internal limiting beliefs.

The main reason I persist on doing the work is because I don’t want to feel bad. Avoiding pain is a great motivator for me.

When I don’t feel like doing the work, I remember the pain I feel when I DON’T do the work. And really, that’s a great way to leverage pain. To use it as motivation to do the work.

It’s impossible to push someone into changing their behavior.

I know, I have tried everything under the sun. Encouraging, threatening, providing information, controlling, guilt tripping and the list goes on.

I have wasted a lot of time and energy trying to break through denial, and limiting beliefs to encourage people to change. In fact, it wasn’t until I finally confronted my OWN denial and limiting beliefs that I was able love others in a healthier way.

It is not my job to save anyone but myself and I can simply share what I have learned. If it helps, awesome, if not then I am still honoring who I am by expressing myself.

It wasn’t until I got this lesson of just loving people that I realized I could tap into a power greater than my need to save someone, which is love.

By holding a safe loving space for someone, I am actually helping them connect to root cause pain and they are often able to heal themselves.

It has taken me a lifetime to become aware of this, but I am grateful to know now.

I can attest to this! 💖💖

I’m obsessed with this book! It’s literally changing the actions i take on a daily basis. It was on my wishlist for ages but had to buy it after the author was interviewed on the Tim Ferriss podcast. It can totally be applied to addiction & recovery life. I give it a 10/10,

This is a season of challenges in my life. Dealing with the disorienting experience of grief has been the biggest one. I find myself incapable of dealing with BS and seeking peace and solitude. So I’m saying no to anything that doesn’t align with my goals and values. This feels like the perfect time of year to reflect, reevaluate, and make decisions that will change the trajectory I’m on.

I tripped my income one year by doing this daily journal prompt. Many other amazing things have happened when I return to this process. We are more powerful than we realize

I find it’s hard enough to change myself even when I want to change! Trying to change someone else who is defensive is insanity for me. I’m still tempted to try sometimes. 🤪

It’s so quiet & peaceful. Makes my soul happy 😊

In the stillness of the quiet, if we listen, we can hear the whisper of the heart giving strength to weakness, courage to fear, hope to despair.

The opposite of addiction is connection. We can turn our pain into purpose in recovery. Use your intention to create the world you need 💖

New Huberman Lab Podcast Out Now:
In the new episode of the Huberman Lab Podcast I discuss the physiological impact that drinking alcohol has on the brain and body, at different levels of consumption and over time. I also describe genetic and behavioral differences that predispose certain individuals to alcoholism, binge and habit-drinking.
Since alcohol is one of the most widely consumed substances, this episode ought to be of relevance to everyone. Indeed, even low-to-moderate alcohol consumption negatively impacts the brain and body in direct ways that people should be aware of.
The goal of this episode is to help people make informed decisions about their alcohol consumption that are in keeping with their mental and physical health goals.
