You'll leave feeling more prepared, and ready to tackle these tests. These two sessions are appropriate for Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors; material covered is for those taking SAT or PSAT.

FREE 2023 Common Application Boot Camp @ our Boise Location
Over 1000 colleges worldwide accept the Common App. This platform can be tricky to navigate, though! This camp will introduce the application sections, with a focus on tools and tricks for optimizing the special sections like Activities, Honors and Awards, and the optional essays about Covid and Special Circumstances. We'll talk about concise, impactful writing, and how best to convey your interests and identity in these two hour sessions.
We know signing up to talk about college applications in the summer sounds kind of terrible. We see you, and will be offering several raffle items during the sessions. Come on, doesn't that make this tempting?!

Attention, Class of 2024! Your time has come!
Not sure what your rising senior should be prioritizing at this time of the year? Here are some of my recommended tasks for rising seniors to get started on:
🎯 Conduct thorough college research online: Utilize various resources like the college’s official website, the Fiske Guide, Niche, Unigo, Youtube, The College Tour, Colleges That Change Lives, and social media platforms to gather information about potential colleges.
🎯 Visit colleges of interest: Take advantage of the summer to visit the campuses that intrigue you the most. Keep in mind that the atmosphere may be slightly different during the summer months.
🎯 Utilize Net Price Calculators to estimate the expenses associated with each prospective school. Keep a close eye on COA (cost of attendance) at each school, not just tuition.
🎯 Refine your resume: Polish your resume by adding details about any independent projects, academic research, summer programs, civic activities, sports, or volunteer work you’ve undertaken.
🎯 Begin working on your personal statement essay: Start drafting your 650-word personal statement essay. Remember to start your draft early and revise, edit, and polish it to perfection.
🎯 Finalize your college list: Narrow down your list of schools and identify those to which you plan to apply early. Shoot for less than ten, applications are expensive and the extra essays - time consuming.
🎯 Assess whether additional standardized testing will be required and make appropriate preparations.
🎯 Prepare for early deadline schools: If you’re applying to schools with early deadlines, start working on the required materials, including the supplemental essays.
🎯 Create Common Application account (and additional accounts if needed): After August 1st, set up a Common Application account and enter all pertinent information. Some schools might not use the Common App, so create separate accounts for those.
🎯 Make progress on your supplemental essays: As you approach the start of senior year, aim to have your personal statement essay, standardized testing, and main sections of the Common Application complete. Focus on making headway with your supplemental essays during this time.
By diligently tackling these tasks during the summer, you’ll set yourself up for a smoother and more organized college application process during your senior year. Best of luck!

As we have been predicting for months, the WA statewide eviction moratorium has officially been extended through the end of 2020. To our knowledge at this time, there are no substantial changes other than the date. We will keep you informed of any new information if/when it develops. As a quick reminder, there is currently a moratorium on increasing rents, charging late fees, and serving eviction notices (with very little exception). We continue to partner with our professional organizations in an effort to advocate for landlords with respect to this topic. We are fortunate to have collected approximately 98% of rents due since the pandemic began, and the focus of our efforts with legislators at every level is to narrow the application of the moratorium protections down to people who can demonstrate a COVID-related hardship and provide them with rental assistance as the top priority.
We were very recently made aware of an ordinance in the city of Kirkland that requires rental property owners to carry a business license. We will be following up specifically with our clients in Kirkland to achieve compliance with this rule that has essentially been “buried” on the books with the city of Kirkland since 2009. As you are likely aware, earlier this year in response to the COVID-19 outbreak and various stages of shelter-in-place and subsequent phased re-opening throughout the state, we made the decision to pause most of our Periodic Inspection efforts for managed properties.
