Meet Miss Linda Maxfield!
Miss Linda is a Preschool Assistant.

She went to Lake Braddock Secondary for High School and Marymount University for college.

“I've worked as a sub for LCPS for years, then became a Secretary at Freedom High School for a year. After that I was a Library Assistant at Frances Hazel Reid for 8 years, a sub at Bluemont for 2 years, and this year I became an official preschool assistant! A fun fact about me? I have three cats and one of them only has three legs! When I'm at work, I treat the children as if they were my own. Their safety and education is important and I want them to have the best foundation to succeed in life! Along with learning, we will be creative and have fun, too!”

General information

We are located in western Loudoun County in the village of Bluemont. The center strives to provide services to the citizens of Loudoun County in a friendly small-town atmosphere. Bluemont is staffed by four full-time support people and many other dedicated teachers and child care professionals. The center itself is an old schoolhouse which opened in 1923, and served the community until the early 1960s. The school then sat empty until 1988 when the local community provided the spark to convert the building into a Community Center. The center is especially proud of its state-licensed preschool and daycare programs. With small classes and nurturing teachers, it is an ideal spot for young children to grow and learn. Please stop by the center and meet the staff and check out our programs
