Thank you to Violet Duncan for sharing with our community this week! Violet performed on Monday as part of our Women's History Month celebration. She is a children’s book author, Native American hoop and powwow dancer and educator, along with a proud member of the Plains Cree of Kehewin Cree Nation and Taino (Canada).

The event was a partnership with Lotus Education & Arts Foundation Educational Outreach.

Last week, the National Endowment for the Arts announced the awarding of 15 grants totaling $254,000 to Indiana nonprofit arts organizations and cultural programming providers.

We'll share more of the MANY incredible moments from this year's Lotus Blossoms in the coming weeks.
