Founded in 1973

Founded in 1973 Bloomington Developmental Learning Center, Inc. was founded in 1973 by parents and teachers who were bound by similar child-care philosophies. BDLC is one of the largest and oldest child-care centers in Monroe County. It is licensed by the State of Indiana and is a participant in Paths to Quality reaching Level 3.

BDLC has always been a not-for-profit organization with a Board of Directors composed of parents and community members. BDLC maintains close ties with the community in order to respond to child care needs and issues. As an established community institution, BDLC, Inc. is proud to have provided more than three decades of high-quality early childhood education in the Bloomington area.
