How lucky we are to have know so many littles that we will miss so much! We hope all these awesome kiddos are having a great summer! Special thanks from Ms Barbie to Mrs Beth for the past 6 months of teaching at our Belcamp location it has been an amazing experience for our buddies! Also to Ms Lauren for assisting in so many ways over the past 10 years! As we sold our home we took all of the memories with us that home daycare has given us and will forever be grateful for such a honor to care for each and every Belcamp Best Buddy and enrich their lives one day at a time!
It’s so hard to say goodbye....which is why we aren’t saying it😢😭—it’s see you later or until next time. Our little buddies have had a great last day together and filled with outside time, snuggles, stories, and center time. I have had an amazing 6 months with these insanely smart, sweet, and charismatic group of children—I feel so blessed to have been a part of their lives❤️. Once a buddy, always a buddy💕💕 (cue the tears)....
Our last music class with Miss Amy😢❤️
How is it already Thursday?! Our buddies had such a great time celebrating last night at our end of the year party—they did a great job singing their songs for mommies and daddies 😊🥰. Today our buddies had fun doing puzzles and playing cars before going for a little walk once the rain stopped. After our walk, we had a super fun last music class with Miss Amy. Their friends had such a great year learning and growing with Miss Amy!
Happy Tuesday! Our little buddies enjoyed lots of outside time today and we are enjoying our last few days together....it’s so bittersweet. But in the words of Winnie the Pooh, “How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.”
Happy Friday! What great weather we had for an awesome morning outside. Today at circle time, our buddies learned about the life cycle of a butterfly, then listened to the story, “The Very Hungry Caterpillar.” The friends then helped me sort animals that were insects and not insects. If the animal was an insect, we circled it then drew a line to the big jar—they did a great job helping 😊It was a great day!
Happy Thursday everyone! We were so excited to have the rain stop for us and dry up enough to take a nice walk around the neighborhood 😊. We saw lots of flying insects, including: butterflies, bumblebees, gnats, and we even saw a centipede on the ground! At circle time, we learned that butterflies eat their food through a straw-like mouth called a proboscis. Just like our friends, butterflies prefer sweet things to eat 😉.
How is it Wednesday already?! Our little buddies had so much fun outside this morning going to the playground then taking a walk on the bike trail. We saw a lot of butterflies on our walk—we counted 7! At circle time, out little buddies learned that butterflies are symmetrical, or the same on both sides. After circle, our friends painted on half of a piece of paper with paint, then we folded it and “smooshed” it together to make two side that are the same or equal. It was a great day!
Happy Tuesday everyone! What another beautiful day it turned out to be😊. Today, our little buddies had a lot of fun at the playground and spotting different kinds of insects on our walk to and from outside time—they did great! At circle time, we learned about the different parts of a butterfly, then colored our own butterflies ❤️.
Happy Monday! Our little buddies had an awesome day that started with centers before music with Miss Amy! After music, we went to the playground to enjoy the beautiful weather. We came back to the house and had circle time and learned about our new unit for our last two weeks together 😢—Insects! Today the friends learned about what an insect is as well as that some insects are helpful. 🐛🐝🐜🐞🦟🦗
More Friday fun ❤️
Happy Friday! We had quite the eventful day today! First we had a great walk to the “little” playground and we saw a lot of butterflies on our walk! Then we had fun playing on the equipment and chasing the butterflies through the grass—we got tired pretty quick so we sat down and had a snack, then did some chalk to brighten up the bike trail 😊. When we got back, we had circle time and a special treat—we got to watch a little bit of the movie “Turtle Tales” which showed us some of the ocean animals we learned about in our ocean & water unit—the friends even learned about how turtles get out of their egg and into the water. The best part of our day was seeing the big truck come to deliver the pod! It was a pretty great day ❤️😍😊.
Happy *but humid* Thursday! We have had so much fun learning about the water cycle this week! Today the friends learned about precipitation. We talked about when the clouds are cold, the precipitation that falls is snow and when the clouds are warm or hot, the precipitation that falls is rain. The friends then each decorated a rain drop and a snowflake for out water cycle wall 😍.
Tryin to say “Precipitation” 😂😍❤️
More Wednesday fun!
Happy Wednesday! Today we enjoyed a nice morning outside before it got too hot for our little buddies to play. We had so much fun making awesome artwork with chalk on the bik path 😊. At circle time, our friends sang our water cycle song—then it was very silly when we tried to sing it faster. Our activity today was making clouds of condensation and evaporation—our buddies did a great job! Tomorrow we will make different kinds of precipitation to hang on our water cycle wall. We have loved looking at our “water cycle in a bag” and watching from inside. It’s hanging in our window when you have a chance, you should check it out 😉👍🏻
Happy Tuesday! We hope everyone had a wonderful weekend of fun spent with family and friends. We were so happy to be back and see all of our friends today—the rain couldn’t ruin our fun 😉❤️. Today after a nice long walk outside, our little buddies began learning about the water cycle. They learned that it goes around and around, and never stops. It was a great day 😊
Happy Friday! We had an AMAZING day enjoying this beautiful weather😍. We played outside at the big playground, had circle time, and read stories about animals that live in the ocean—some of them were so silly 😊. We hope everyone has a safe and fun-filled holiday weekend!
Happy Thursday! Our little buddies sure did love our start to the day outside before snack and circle time! We got in some fun before our school age friends left for school! After they left, we sang some of our songs we learned during our Ocean unit. We sang, “There’s a Hole in the Bottom of the Sea,” “A Sailor went to Sea,” and “Down by the Bay.” Today, the animal our little buddies learned about was an Octopus 🐙. They learned that an octopus has 3 hearts, they have no bones but very strong arm muscles, they have 8 arms, and they can change color! We thought that was pretty cool! After circle time out friends enjoyed their yummy snacks and then colored in some great pictures of a turtle that we didn’t get to yesterday. We were able to get back outside before lunch for some extra fun in the sun and we did a little movement and music outside—our friends loved it❤️
Happy Wednesday everyone; half way through the week already! 😊 Today our little buddies continued learning about animals that live in the ocean by focusing on sea turtles 🐢. They learned that sea turtles start off very little when they hatch from their egg, then they grow very big! We learned they have 4 fins and a hard shell to keep them safe. We had a lot of fun enjoying the beautiful weather by talking a walk to our “big” favorite playground; the friends loved watching the lawnmowers now the grass.
It’s Tuesday which automatically means it’s terrific! We had such a fun day at the playground and we even met some new friends that live in the area. Today our buddies learned about another awesome animals that lives in the ocean: dolphins! Our little buddies learned that there are different kinds of dolphins, just like there are different kinds of sharks. They also learned that dolphins learn by mimicking different behaviors—like waving, spinning, and more. Our friends then pretended to be dolphins with a little game of “Simon Says” 😊❤️
Happy Monday everyone! We were so excited to begin this week because we are learning about animals that live in the ocean 😍. Today, our buddies enjoyed a fun time outside before it got too hot out, then we came home for some nice shade and water. After snack. We learned about our favorite thing that lives in the ocean.....”baby” sharks! We learned that sharks prefer warm water and to eat meat, like seals, penguins, turtles, and fish—we didn’t like that, but we also talked about how animals have to eat too. Our friends colored in some pretty great sharks for our ocean wall ❤️. We hope you had as great of a day as our Belcamp buddies did 😊. 🦈🐙🦑🐢🦀🦞🦐🐳🐬🐟🐠🐡🐋🦈
When you learn about the ocean, you of course have to sing “Baby Shark” at circle time 😂💙🌎🦈..please excuse my bad singing voice😉
More Friday fun ❤️
Happy Friday everyone!! We had so much fun spending the morning outside with playing at the playground, eating snack, and having circle time 😍
It’s Thursday and we are looking forward to the weekend tomorrow! It turned out to be a beautiful day, so you know where these little buddies headed 😉. Lots of outside time, those random sprinkles of rain didn’t bother these kiddos! When we had circle time, we learned that ocean plants make up a lot of the air we breath—we thought that was pretty cool! We are very excited to learn about the different kinds of animals that live in the ocean next week!
Happy Wednesday! What a beautiful day it turned into 😍. Our little Belcamp buddies have had lots of fun today at the playground and learning about the coral reef in the ocean. We learned it is very hard, it grows slowly, and animals like to make their homes in it—it is even good for some animals 😱. We hope you have a great rest of the day😊
Happy Tuesday! Our little buddies had a great time enjoying this beautiful weather today by talking a long walk to the “big” playground and the long way back to the house. We saw lots of plants outside and talked about why they wouldn’t be able to grow in the ocean—they did a great job! Our buddies were so excited to see lots of dogs out on walks today too🤗
Puddle jumping 😍🙌🏼🌧
More rainy day fun
Happy Monday everyone! To all of our mommas, we hope you had an amazing Mother’s Day spent with your loving little ones. Today our little buddies began learning about what kinds of plants grow in the oceans. They saw pictures of kelp, red algae, sea grass, and sargassum. The children then used string and green paint to create their own kelp forests by moving the string in different ways like the ocean moves the plants. They look awesome! We took a little walk outside between rain showers and of course had to jump in puddles 😉❤️
Happy Friday everyone; and to our moms, happy early Mother’s Day to you❤️ Today our buddies were busy putting the finishing touches on their gifts for their mommas. They also had a great morning at the playground—our walk back to the house was a bit wet though 😂🌧
Thursday has arrived and we were very excited to be able to take a nice walk outside today, even if it did rain half way through—the kiddos loved being able to jump in the little puddles forming 😉❤️. We sang songs about the ocean and counted using different animals in the ocean. The friends had so much fun with Miss Amy today in music; our little buddies didn’t let lousy weather rain on their parade.
Happy Wednesday everyone! Talk about wacky: did you know there are about 1.1 trillion gallons of water in the ocean?! That’s a lot of water😱🌎. Today our buddies read the story, “Clark the Shark” since we learned about animals that live in the twilight and sunlight zone in the ocean. They thought the story was very silly 🤗❤️. We hope you have a wonderful rest of the day!
