Town Hall is now preparing Welcome Kits for new families that are moving into our community.

Our Welcome Kits feature and direct these new families to a small number of local businesses for the goods, services & professionals that they need to find.

Since our Welcome Kits are exclusive, and we can only accommodate one Day Care/Pre-School Center, I would ask you to kindly let me know if you are interested in being the featured Day Care Facility in our local Welcome Kits.

It is worthy to note that, according to Dr. Cathy Goodwin in her book “Making the Big Move”, 33% of new residents and families seek out a new Child Care Center shortly after their relocation. As such, approximately 1 out of 3 recipients of our Welcome Kits are actively seeking a new Child Care Center.

Please reply to this message with your availability or call me at your earliest convenience.

For a faster response, or if you prefer, feel free to text me on my cell which is listed in my signature.

Thanks.

It’s Fire Prevention Week and we would like to thank our local firemen for coming out to our school to teach our children about the importance of fire safety. The children were super excited to see a real life fire truck and firemen!

Halloween costumes are a great opportunity for children to get creative and express themselves — but the decision-making isn’t always the easiest. If your child has a hard time sticking to a costume choice, try these tips.

🎃 Don’t plan too far ahead
Leave plenty of time for a decision, but not so much time that they’re bound to change their mind.
🎃 Choose a decision day
Give yourself time to find or make your child’s costume and put a sticker on your calendar to mark when a costume decision will be finalized. Once that day has passed, you’re going with what you’ve got!
🎃 Be flexible and leave room for creativity
It’s fun to dress children up in what you want to see them in, but it’s also important to give them the independence to decide for themselves. Support their creativity, even when it’s a little wacky!
🎃 Use our decision guide
If your child is still struggling to choose, use the decision guide on our Pinterest to give them a hand.

And most importantly, have a fun, creative and safe spooky season! https://bit.ly/3UVKRk3

We want to wish our lovely Ms. Nisha a very happy birthday! ❤️

Our Apple of our Eye for the month of October is Ms. Tori!

Ms. Tori is one of our fantastic support teachers who spends a majority of her time in our Infant Classroom. In the mornings, you may see Ms. Tori in other rooms assisting with drop-offs – we love how flexible she is! She is currently enrolled in college and has a real love for the children. Her favorite children’s book is Oh, The Places You’ll Go by Dr. Seuss. When asked which Primrose Friend she relates to the most, she said Billy the Duck because keeping promises and commitments is so important and builds trust with people. Ms. Tori’s favorite thing about working with children is seeing them grow and achieve milestones, knowing that she’s making a positive impact on their lives.

Thank you, Ms. Tori, for all that you do for us each day. You are a wonderful addition to our school team and we are lucky to have you at Primrose!

Need a new book suggestion? Just ask Og®! Right now, he’s reading “What Is Light?” by Markette Sheppard and learning how we all have a light within us. Pair your reading with these discussion questions to encourage a conversation with your child about the importance of respecting our own light, and everyone else’s.

🌟 What is something you have in common with your friends?
🌟 How are you different from your friends?
🌟 What’s something that makes someone you love different and special?
🌟 How can you encourage others to be themselves?

Learn more about author Markette Sheppard on our blog, where we interviewed her about representation in children’s books, and her own journey as a working mom. https://bit.ly/3AyCx02

Books are a great way to help children feel a sense of belongingness, so we’re sharing some of our favorite classroom reading.
Young children are still developing their sense of self, which is why it’s important for them to see people who look like them in books, images and toys. It’s also important to see a variety of other people so children can learn to appreciate those who are different. https://bit.ly/3Dx8zNo
