Leprechaun Trap challenge! 🍀

Enjoy these pictures from years ago that our Mill Run Elementary school kids created during our After School program.

According to the tradition, one must believe leprechauns are real to trap one. It is also believed that leprechauns love gold and trickery and may steal or hide items unless captured, pleased, or scared away. A trap is traditionally made by young children and set out the night before St. Patrick's Day. Once trapped, Leprechauns may grant three wishes, and in many of the folklore stories, Irish-folk have been tricked, and made foolish wishes. Since Leprechauns remain folklore, children will often return to the trap with signs of a leprechaun visiting rather than a leprechaun itself.

Parents: If your kids build a Leprechaun trap from their Lego pieces as home, please post a picture to our page, or email to [email protected] and we'll post them here and/or our website.

We're excited to announce a summer camp featuring both Art and LEGO building. 🎨🤖

Registration is open for the week of July 6th. The morning camp is with Art in Me Studio, and afternoon with Bricks 'n Bots. It is optional to combine them for a full day!

More camp weeks will be posted soon, including Robotics for ages 6-10, and advanced options for 9+.

The FIRST LEGO League Jr Inspire kit, robotics kit, and Engineering Notebooks have arrived for our Monday evening team! This is an awesome program, and we're so excited!

If your child is in 1st - 3rd grade, contact us for more information or come by and see! We'll be forming teams for other meeting times. Teams of up to 6 kids will meet once a week through April, ending the season in May with participation in a local Expo to show their project and all they've learned.

This Sunday is the start of classes at our new center in Ashburn at Ryan Park Shopping Center, 49430 Yukon Dr, Suite 112.
Lego Mindstorms EV3 Robot Challenge will be held from 3-4:30pm on Sundays. Once the kids learn to program the robots for basic maneuvers and use sensors, they will take on the challenge of solving missions from this FLL season's robot challenge. It's fun and learning without the pressure of competition, along with the preparation for competing in a tournament next year if they choose!
