Tomorrow, November 3, 2015 is election day! As you know, MSAAC has been working hard to cultivate effective partnerships with our school board, administrators, and teachers.
Our educational community is changing rapidly. MSAAC continues to support a school board that recognizes, honors and supports the growing diversity of LCPS, and is willing to provide the necessary resources to all students based on their needs. As parents, it is imperative that we vote.
Thank you for your work thus far. I look forward to many more work sessions, as we charge forward to build an exciting learning environment that is welcoming for all of our children.

All Delegates,
We need your help to represent MSAAC at the ELITE meetings.
+ Background Info
LCPS has launched a team to address the growing language barrier between their educators, students and parents. Last year several stake holders were invited to meet and brainstorm what they felt should be done to address this issue in LCPS. MSAAC was invited. By modeling some best practices and possibly developing new ones, the ELITE team is hoping to create a more equitable learning experience for those students where English is a their second language.
+ The Need
The MSAAC representative will attend meetings, taking an active role as needed toward the above initiative. The representative will serve as a liaison between the two groups, gather info from each meeting, share information timely with MSAAC executive committee, and accurately represent the views /goals/ of the general membership. The representative will on occasion provide verbal updates to the general body at our meetings.
Ideally, we would like two MSAAC representative to share in this important opportunity.
Feel free to message below with any questions or to express your willingness to support MSAAC in this way.
Thank you.

Thomas Jefferson High School will be holding information sessions at various high schools throughout Fairfax and Loudoun County in September and early October. Please consider attending one of these sessions with your child. Share this information with other families as well. It is critical we continue to provide options and expose our children to the many learning resources and educational opportunities available to them as a LCPS student. The link below will indicate the locations of these sessions. If you have any questions about this opportunity please contact:
