When it comes to developing good character, Primrose students have 12 special helpers. Through songs, stories, activities and more, teachers use the Primrose Friends to help children learn about positive character traits like generosity ❤️, courage 🦁 and cooperation 🤝.

The start of a new school year is always exciting, but little ones sometimes feel nervous about making the transition whether that be the prospect of a new classroom, new teachers or new friends. Try these tips to help build your child's confidence for the first day of school and beyond:​

👋 Wave Goodbye to Summer: Enjoy an end-of-summer picnic and a first day back at school breakfast with your family.​

🙂 Keep it Positive: Your attitude makes a huge difference when it comes to building excitement about the school year. Talk to your child about all the fun they'll have and how they'll get to see their school friends soon. ​
​
🍎 Practice Healthy Habits: Schedules tend to get off track in the summer, so it's important to reestablish your child's normal sleeping and eating schedules. The transition will be easier for both of you when your little one is well-rested and feeling good. ​
​
🗓️ Make a Paper Chain: Starting in the final days of summer, create a paper chain with every "link" representing one day. Have your child draw what happened that day on each link. When the first month of school is over, you'll have a fun memory craft to decorate with. ​
​
📚 Read Together: Reading books about heading back to school is a fun way to get your child excited while helping strengthen their early literacy skills. ​

In June, Primrose schools in Middle Tennessee hosted over 340 teachers for Professional Development Day! This event was full of learning, collaboration, team-building exercises and networking. ​

Spring Fling has come to an end, and this year the Primrose community has raised more than $510,000 as children learned about the joy of giving without expectation. 🌸🎉​

Half of the funds raised will support local charities in Primrose school communities, and the other half support the Primrose Schools Children Foundation's mission to empower people, care for the planet and give back to communities through contributions to West Lakes Early Learning Center, No Kid Hungry®, Save the Children® and more.

Our Pre-K classes have been having so much fun learning about temperatures! 🌡️ They have been measuring the temperatures inside and outside every day and discovered we feel best around 70°F. Our students did a great job recording our findings!

🌟🐥 Exploring Colors and Textures with Percy the Rooster! 🎨🖌️

Our toddlers have been having an exciting time learning about different animals and their vibrant colors and unique textures! 🐾🦜We introduced Experience Cards of: Large and Small Animals, and encouraged the kids to explore various objects around the classroom that were the same colors as the animals. As they discovered these items, we talked about their colors and textures.

To bring our lesson to life, the toddlers enjoyed finger painting Percy’s feathers in bright colors like red, yellow, and green on a Percy template. They loved feeling the paint and comparing it to Percy's soft feathers while naming each color they used. It was a fun, messy, and educational experience filled with creativity and sensory exploration! 🌈🖐️

Hi everyone! I'm Mrs. Cutler. I am a wife, a mom of a Primrose toddler, and the Primrose Explorers Teacher and Summer Camp Director!

I have been at Primrose for 1 year!

When I’m not at Primrose I like to travel, spend time outside, read, and watch my son explore the world around him.

Not many people know that I can draw and crochet.

My favorite thing about working with children is seeing their self-pride when they accomplish something they were struggling with.

I love working at Primrose because management is understanding and flexible. I also love the consistency of expectations from one class to the next for my son!

It was 2021 and we were all still in the midst of dealing with COVID when we had to make the decision to send off our first born/18 month old to daycare. We are so glad we made Primrose at Moorefield Station our choice! Our kids have flourished from the day they started at Primrose and look forward to being with their Primrose friends & staff everyday — but ESPECIALLY on “Cookie Fridays!”

Mom and Dad met at Purdue University and started calling the DMV/Ashburn home in 2010. We are a family of foodies and love to travel. We are also a family of Disney fans and love taking our girls to see Mickey and friends to see their eyes light up! Our favorite thing to do as a family is to have a dance party on Saturday mornings at home with either Indian music, Disney songs, or throwback tunes from the 90s and 00s!
