We have been closely following the advice of public health authorities and have made the decision to expand our closure until May 20th.
I understand that this decision will have a bigger impact in your daily routine. I would like you to know that I am committed to the well-being and safety of your children and families.
We truly hope we will be able to reopen in the near future. We will keep you informed about any updates we might have, through the phone, email, or our page.
I have shared some activities on our page to help continue your child’s learning at home. Al Decant and Ryan SanAngelo who are early childhood entertainers have also started a YouTube and facebook live to keep us entertained and moving. You can find the links on our page as well.
In the meantime, please feel free to send me updates about how you and your families are doing.
If you are in desperate need of child care you can call 211 and they can help you find alternative child care. You can also call TEAM inc. They are currently open for children of staff at Griffin Hospital. Please contact Yvette Cartagena, Family Support Coordinator - 203-734-8609 ext.2015 for more info.
If you have not shared your email or occupation with me please do so. We are trying to make a parent directory.
Thanks,
Ms. Stephanie

1. What are your plans on your child returning to Derby Day Care if we reopen on March 30th?
2. What is your occupation?
3. What is your email address?
4. Have you traveled to a country for which the CDC has issued a level 2 or 3 travel designation in the past 14 day?
5. Have you had any contact with any person under investigation for Covid-19 in the last 14 days or with anyone known to have Covid-19?
6. Do you have any symptoms of a respiratory infection? Cough, sore throat, fever, shortness of breath?
The Office of Early Childhood is only allowing 10 children per preschool group size and 8 for infant/toddler. We are trying to assess who needs childcare the most during this time. We are trying to prioritize the healthcare and first responders first.
Please respond ASAP.
When children return they will be screened for any illness. Fever, cough, runny nose, etc...
