Children's Healthcare of Atlanta

Just 17 years old, Claire went into sudden cardiac arrest during a volleyball game. Fortunately, through Project S.A.V.E., her school's staff had been trained to use an automated external defibrillator (AED)—and saved her life. This Heart Month, we hope this video will inspire you to become CPR and AED certified. You could save a life. [Warning: Video contains graphic imagery.]

Valuing the Invaluable 2015 Update: Undeniable Progress, but Big Gaps Remain - AARP

www.aarp.org Family caregivers are an essential part of the social, health, and economic fabric of the U.S. But family caregiving often comes at substantial costs to the caregivers themselves, to their families, and to society. Without family-provided help, the economic cost to the U.S. health and long-term services and supports (LTSS) systems would skyrocket.

Did you know bread is like junk food to ducks? They love it, but it can make them fat, and make it even tougher to fly! Baby ducks who eat bread can suffer from malnutrition.

So what can we feed them? Grapes cut in 1/2, oats, and birdseed are all much better than bread! Please spread the word!

We added Plexiglas protection for the Lithops species /small succulents display. The lithops (aka living stones) are so well camouflaged that inquisitive hands dug around (and up) these plants, thinking the display area was a rocky sandbox (made for fun). Lithops species are native to southern Africa and survive on an annual rainfall of 2 inches and/or dew formation for water.
