HELLO EVERYONE! We are excited to start a page that is dedicated to our amazing tutors! Hopefully, it will allow us to connect with our existent tutors faster and will help recruit new volunteers via sharing, "liking", and referrals from all of you! We cannot thank you enough for everything you do for our GED and ESL students and we hope to continue growing as a program together!
Please like and share our page with anyone who you think might be interested in becoming a Literacy Volunteer!

What does it mean to be a volunteer tutor?

Our program is dedicated to providing quality education to students seeking obtaining high school equivalency diplomas and to students wishing to improve their English language skills. We are 100% funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and are proud to provide services at no cost to all our students.

Volunteer Tutors help prepare and implement coursework for students attending either the literacy or ESL classes for the Center for Career Pathways & Literacy at the Allentown campus of Lehigh Carbon Community College and at The Literacy Center. Tutors work with students on subjects including Math, Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, Writing, Grammar, Speaking, Listening, and Civics.
