Robberson Educational Services was established by former classroom reading teachers who believed strongly that the teaching of reading should be based on solid reading research and on the recognition that teacher issues and needs must be addressed if effective teaching practices are to emerge.

"Kids need to read a lot if they are to become good readers. The evidence on this point is overwhelming. To ensure that all students read a lot, schools need to develop standards for expected volume of reading (and writing). The cornerstone of an effective school organizational plan is allocating sufficient time for lots of reading and writing." - excerpt from "What Really Matters for Struggling Readers" by Richard L. Allington
