Happy Halloween 🎃

🌱We picked out herbs to plant, filled up the compost filled drum with healthy soil, planted the seeds, and labeled them.

Cruising through Week 5. We're all ready for a cooler weather.

This week in nature class 🌿 they tried a sunset banana pepper from the garden 😝, learned medicinal benefits of purslane and mullein leaves, helped secure the chicken coop, did some more nature walk, and held a bearded dragon.

Balloon popping fight 🎈 Sometimes just a simple organized game helps bring everyone outside.

🌿 Opening up our nature class to homeschoolers ages 10+! Mondays from 10:00-12:00 at Honor Equestrian in Wylie. Spend time outdoors exploring nature, gardening, and learn about foraging, herbs, and medicinal plants.

Creativity is one of the top soft skills that employers seek. Get started on an art project! It can be as simple as sharpie art.

In today's nature class 🌿 we moved mulch, pulled some weeds and helped clean the garden bed, tried lavender lemonade, and went on a nature walk.

Mentoring is one of the biggest part of what creates the culture at ILA. Here's a great article that explains why we value our 1-on-1 mentoring time with each student. It states that "One study found that students who developed strong relationships with their advisor performed better academically and socially."
