Good Afternoon, Everyone -

As I prepare to join the Allen ISD Board of Trustees tonight, I remain humbled and grateful for the trust and confidence you have placed in me. I am honored to serve as your Place 7 Trustee.

First and foremost, I want to thank my family, friends, and supporters who have stood by me throughout this journey. Your unwavering support and encouragement have been the driving force behind our campaign.

I also want to thank my opponents, Michelle Boren, Brandon Villarreal, and James Hollis, for a hard-fought and spirited campaign. While we may have had our differences, I believe that we all share a common goal of making our community a better place.

As I take on this new role, I am committed to working tirelessly to serve the needs of our community. I will listen to your concerns, work to find common ground, and fight for the issues that matter most to you.

Together, we can build a brighter future for our community. We can work together to improve our schools, and ensure that Allen ISD remains the hub of our community.

I am excited to get to work and to make a positive difference in the lives of our teachers, parents, and students. I am confident that, with your support, we can achieve great things.

Thank you again for this incredible honor. I will not let you down.

This has been such a bittersweet week. My heart still breaks for our community.

Mayor Ken Fulk was speaking at Rotary Club of Allen Sunrise Wednesday and spoke of our police department. Between the police response and investigation to Saturday's event, increased patrols and presence at Allen Independent School District schools, and regular shifts/calls, our men and women in blue have been stretched thin. They are tired. But they will not stand down until the job is done.

He mentioned that Police Chief Brain Harvey requested that our citizens send handwritten letters of thanks to our officers. I wrote mine last night. I ask that you and your loved ones follow suit. I mailed mine to:

Officer Thank You
c/o Allen Police Department
205 W McDermott Drive
Allen, Texas 75013

Thank you all. Please hug those you love.

05/07/2023

Yesterday was a painful day for our great city. I am almost at a loss for words. It is all so senseless.

Thank you to all of our first responders for their heroic and selfless service. Thank you to our city leaders for their unifying voice.

Pray for the victims, their families, and all of our OneAllen community.

Thank you, Bob Acker and Emily Acker, for your support and your dedication to the citizens of Allen!

Please see their endorsement below:

Place 7 is a four way race. This race is a rare today as we the voters have a choice among several good candidates. That said, I am supporting Dr. Bill Parker!

When there are multiple candidates, I look closely at several things - (1) the candidate's background & experience, (2) the candidate's record of actually doing something for our schools and community, (3) the new perspective a candidate can bring to the table, and, perhaps most importantly, (4) a written and public campaign platform (pledge) that I can support. Bill Parker meets all of my benchmarks and will make a great Trustee!

Bill has already proven to me that he is a listener, and he has a a great three point platform that is so badly needed in our divided District: (1) Improve transparency & engagement of community in decision-making; (2) Foster a return to civility in our schools; and (3) Provide common-sense leadership.

Bill's 17 years in Public Education and his service in our community make him the ideal candidate for Place 7. He knows how school finance works, he has demonstrated creativity in response to disruptions including Covid and he fully understands the constraints of State Law/TEA Regulations. He will hit the ground running for us!

Please join me in supporting him! Every vote counts - a person with 25% + 1 vote wins as Allen Board elections are a plurality!!!! YOUR vote is important!

Retired Asst. Fire Chief and Allen Resident since 1964
