Help Me Grow Allegan

Comments

Hello, I am from the grand rapids MI and am looking for a donor in the area for my almost 4 month old daughter. (Has to be a consistent donor and provide a list of meds.) I am willing to compensate as well in any way that I can. Willing to drive reasonable distance in the Grand Rapids/surrounding area, as safely as possible (Covid)

-Does not tolerate formula well, recently diagnosed with a breathing issue so if I can keep her as comfortable as possible, I’d like to 🙂 Breast milk seems to do the trick. Consumes 3-4 oz every 2-3 hours.
Let me know if anyone can help or has some reliable information!

* i am looking ahead of time for the right donor if one is even available. I still have approx 10 weeks worth of supply until the donor won’t have enough.
Thank you in advance.

"ART" comes in all different shapes and sizes. Try making an "Igloo", "Polar Bear" or even "Snowman" out of clay this weekend. Don't have clay? Try using marshmallows instead, while sipping on a warm cup of cocoa.

All of the materials for a clay igloo are listed on our partner's website-

Let's keep up the "ART" activities this month using a new material- YARN! WGVU has a fun "Yarn Snowball" craft idea for you to try this month. These "snowballs" make great winter decorations for your home or ornaments for your tree. You can make them for yourself or wrap them up for loved ones this gifting season!

Puffy winter coats can cause harness issues. Take those winter coats off before you put your child in that harnessed car seat. You can put the coats back on them backwards once they are in the car.

The fluffy padding in those coats will compress in a crash, leaving extra space under the harness.

You can dress your child in thin layers or use a blanket over the harness straps to keep your child warm AND maintain proper car seat use in the winter.

Sometimes the holiday season gets overwhelming for children. Adults too. There is always excitement in the air, but sometimes children feel disappointed or even angry when they don't get what they want. Our WGVU partners have a simple, creative activity called "Learning About Emotions with Snowmen" to help children explore their emotions so they can better express how they feel with loved ones. When children learn to communicate better, they feel more in control of their emotions, which reduces temper tantrums. This makes everyone happier at the holidays. Check out this fun activity at
