We provide half day programs as well as evening and summer classes to the citizens of Allegan County. Our instructors are vocationally certified in the fields they teach and many serve as adjunct instructors for Lake Michigan College so our students may earn direct college credit while studying with us. We Spent the day hanging with famed Chef Dom. Chef Dom has notable appearances on Food Network and Disney+ Foodtastic.(episode 4đ) He currently works as Sullivan Universityâs Chef Representative. The good news is that we have persuaded them to come groom for our Community Pet Care Donation Day on Saturday, February 12th from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm.
Yes this Saturday you can get your dog groomed at Cafe Pet Spa!
Another twist is that this event will support the charity of the Michigan FFA and all proceeds will be presented to The Ronald McDonald House (this event only). We would love to add your donations to our totals.
Some of the same procedures apply. 2 dogs per household, only wash, dry, nail trims, ear cleaning and teeth brushing (no Clipping), and reservations are required.

The Community Foundation of the Holland/Zeeland Area is looking for eligible applicants for the Haworth Skilled Trades Scholarship. This is a $2,000 scholarship for students who can confirm enrollment in a 12-24 month certification, associates (A.A.A.S), or skilled trade/vocational program in one of the following areas: Carpentry, CNC Machining/Programming, Electrical, Electronics Technology, Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician, Industrial Maintenance, Machinist, Machine Repair, Manufacturing Technology, Model Maker, Plumbing, Tool & Die, or Welding.

These eggs know it is 3 weeks until the Tech Center's Open House Event. How do they know? Because, today they are going into the incubator and in 21 days for the Open House event they will be hatching and ready to greet visitors to the Vet Tech program.
INTERMEDIATE COMPUTER APPLICATIONS
This 16-hour course is developed to improve studentsâ familiarity and skill with several common Microsoft Office applications; Word, Excel, and Outlook. If you use these programs currently but âdonât know what you donât knowâ this course is designed to fill in the blanks. Instruction from a knowledgeable instructor combined with lots of in-class practice will allow students to explore the applications in greater depth.
Regular attendance will be required.

VETERINARY TECHNICIAN/ANIMAL HANDLING
Students in the 60-hour Veterinary Assistant/Animal Handling course will spend the majority of their class time practicing animal handling techniques used in veterinary, grooming, and kennel settings. Students will practice handling, safe restraint and small animal grooming. Practical application will be augmented by on-line learning component culminating in readiness to successful take the Elanco Animal Care and Handling examination.
All students will receive assistance with employment readiness and job placement. Regular attendance and safe work practices will be required.

Allegan Online and Adult Education assists students to obtain their educational goals; Free classes to help with GED, Online School, High School diploma as well as classes for K-8th grade are available.
Allegan Dollars for Scholars offers Honor Loans to graduates of Allegan High School to allow them to pursue further education opportunities in college and trade-schools.
BSS was built in 1954. It was grades 1 through 8. Most of the teachers were Sisters of St. Joseph.
