And our Cyber Range hosted the Northeast Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition for the first time, with Asst. Our JA math club earned Gold Level status in The National Math Club by the MATHCOUNTS Foundation. Well done, Arrows!
This group of PS Dupont Middle School 7th and 8th graders will tell you math is as easy as Pi! (get it?)... well, that's because they recently won some serious accolades! At this year's MATHCOUNTS state competition, PS' 7th grade Math League team won second place, and both of their 8th grade Math League teams won first place with ALL 10 members receiving a perfect score (this has never happened before!). And that's not all...8th grader Michael DiGenova placed 3rd individual, earning him a spot on the state team that will compete in the national MATHCOUNTS competition in May!!

Four Middle School math students recently competed in their first-ever Missouri State MATHCOUNTS Competition. Forest Gong ’27, Joshua Lam ’27, Andrew Li ’28, and Sanjay Malhotra ’28 represented the Rams and brought home a 5th place win after multiple rounds of challenging math questions. All four placed in the top 40 individual scorers, with Gong leading the team at #14. Way to go, Ram mathletes!
Black Rock Middle School (BRMS) 7ļøāƒ£th grader Rayoon Kim recently competed in Pennsylvania's MATHCOUNTS 🧮 State-Level Competition where he finished second 🄈 overall out of nearly 300 of the top student-mathematicians from throughout the Keystone State! With his outstanding performance, Kim also earned the opportunity to compete at the National Competition, which will be held on May 13 in Orlando, Florida!

It’s time to balance our equations…we’re moving things around to serve more awesome students in the most effective ways! Starting this year, our enhanced National Math Club will include more recognition opportunities and a video project option so we can welcome our Math Video Challenge participants into this program.

What else is new for the National Math Club? Based on club leader feedback, we’re adding 3 new activities, monthly math challenges, an upgraded recognition system, new Gold Level Project options and…custom math club stickers for students! 😊

We're so excited to announce the winners of the 2023 Community Coaching Scholarship! These two awesome alumni will receive a $3000 college scholarship after starting MATHCOUNTS programs at underserved schools. Support from DoD STEM will not only fund the scholarships, but also provide free registration and resources for these two and 12 other top applicants to start their teams.

Amritha Praveen, a freshman, is 3M Young Scientist Challenge finalist and 2023 MATHCOUNTS National Competitor who will start a program at Jack London Middle School in Wheeling, IL.

Adithya Puninchittaya, a senior, is is an eagle scout and Society for Science ISEF finalist who will start a program at Kreiva Academy in Manchester, NH.

At our National Competition in May, we were able to recognize this year's Grand Prize Gold Level Club—Norman S. Weir School from Paterson, NJ.
