Fusion Alexandria celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month with a final activity on Wednesday, October 9th!  We started the activity with an introduction of the origin of the celebration in the United States, and the national and our on-campus dedications this year.  The national dedication this year to all those Hispanics that have been pioneers of change in our country.  In addition, as a campus we highlighted the contributions of Cesar Chávez and Sonia Sotomayor.  We also discussed the current Hispanic census in the US and ended the presentation with a poem about Latin America read by the Spanish club, Spanish Honor Society members and various teachers where each individual country or territory in Latin America was highlighted.  Finally, we had tables representing different countries in Latin America with food and artifacts, Spanish artists and writers, Hispanics part of the ASL community, and music and dancing!  It was a huge success in which both students and staff actively participated to celebrate Hispanic culture in the US!

Our National Spanish Honor Society and Spanish Club live in action! We are so proud of our students and their participation in clubs this year!

Fusion Alexandria’s spring showcase was a success! We are so proud of our SEVENTY-ONE student projects that were represented! Our teachers and students worked so hard to prepare and present their work. Thank you to the families who came to celebrate our campus’s spring showcase!
