Miss Manyuri brings with her over 15 years of experience in Early Childhood Education. Her expertise spans across
various age groups from infants through school aged children. She served as an assistant director for five years in the state of Virginia and holds a Child Development Accreditation. She has completed extensive training, including CPR, MAT, communications courses and various Early Childhood Education modules.

The Goddard School of Alexandria (Old Town), VA, is now open! Congratulations to owners Akhil and Madhu Govil. This is the fourth location for the co-owners, who also own The Goddard School of Ashburn, The Goddard School of Ashburn Leesburg, and The Goddard School of Waldorf.

As owners & grandparents, their goal is to continue to provide a foundation of learning to all the young children in Alexandria who are the beacon of the great future. They are excited for the opportunity and look forward to serving the Old Town Alexandria community.

T is for Teacher Spotlight Tuesday! 🍎🍎🍎 At The Goddard School, we recognize the significance of educators who possess a deep passion for Early Childhood development. Ms. Shawn, our Pre-K teacher exemplifies this commitment.
Miss Shawn has a Bachelor's degree in Human Ecology with a concentration in Child Development from the University of Maryland, Eastern Shore. She has more than 10 years of experience in Early Childhood Education, teaching various age groups from infancy through preschool. In addition to teaching, Shawn has experience in management as an Education Director. Her interest in working with young children stems from being a witness to their developmental progress across all domains and aspects.

Happy National Creativity Day! 🎨✨

Creativity is all about giving children the freedom to make and play on their own. An activity we love at Goddard is painting with anything BUT a paintbrush! 🖌️ Whether it’s string, fork, or feathers, children can use everyday objects to create extraordinary works of art. The Goddard School of Bel Air received a special visit from former Goddard grads! This preschool class is where their friendships all began 💗 Thirteen years later and their preschool teacher, Miss Sarah, still teaches in the same classroom they all attended.
