[05/01/17] SENIORS: You are invited to walk the halls at Alamosa Elementary in your cap & gown to encourage our elementary students to graduate from high school and demonstrate the pride of being a Mean Moose grad! Be at the K-2 building on May 18th at 8am. Breakfast will be provided.

AHS Junior & Senior PROM is this Saturday April 22nd from 8pm-11:45pm at the National Guard Armory building. AHS Seniors get in free, all other students: $15 single, $20 couples.
AFTER PROM: midnight to 4am at the Alamosa Rec Center, free entry! Hypnotist, laser tag, bubble soccer, joust, food and LOTS of great prizes including CASH!
Alamosa Schools are in session today.
No school next Friday, April 14th. However, we will have "Friday school" for those students who owe detention time or have failing grades from 7am-11am.
And just a reminder, no early release Wednesdays in April.
[02/15/17] AHS conducted a lockdown drill and drug search in cooperation with APD this morning. The lockdown has been lifted and classes have resumed as usual.

Alamosa Basketball fans, the game today against Bayfield has been cancelled. Bayfield cannot travel over Wolf Creek to Alamosa due to poor weather conditions.

[01/06/17] Students who need to take makeup finals should not report to school today due to snow. Be ready to take your finals Monday. Staff- do not report today.
[12/22/16] Have a great holiday break! Any pre-arranged makeup finals will be January 6th starting at 8am. School resumes January 9th.
AHS was in lockdown earlier today for a DRILL. The drill went well and the lockdown is complete.

[12/05/16] Sadie Hawkins is December 17th at 8pm at AHS. We are not utilizing "tagging" this year, girls can ask guys or students are welcome to come with friends or solo.
[11/12/16] Alamosa High School will hold an Academic Awards Assembly on Wednesday November 16th from 9:45am-10:15am to honor students who scored a 3, 4, or 5 on their 2016 AP exams. Students in any AP English, math or science class will receive $100 from the Colorado Education Initiative Legacy Grant. We would like to invite 2016 AHS graduates (or their parents) who will be receiving a check to attend this ceremony if possible. If you have any questions please contact Mark Skinner at 587-6014
[10/31/16] There will be an assembly to recognize and celebrate the State Championship cross country team on Tuesday November 1st at 9:55am in the main gym. Come join us!!
[10/21/16] Alamosa High School students who scored a 3 or higher on their 2016 AP English, math, or science exam are eligible for a $100 check from the Colorado Education Initiative. 16-17 REGISTRATION: Letters were mailed home with information to complete registration online. Please complete this by August 5th, computers are available at AHS this week if needed and our staff is available for assistance. Call 587-6000 with questions.
OPEN HOUSE: The AHS open house is August 10th from 7:30am-3:30pm, ALL students should come in to have a school photo taken (appropriate dress please) for the yearbook and student ID. Go to MyLifetouch.com and use ID CG316061Y0 to order pictures online.
Students may check out lockers, purchase yearbooks, and complete CHSAA paperwork during the open house. Students who have completed online registration will be given their class schedules as well.
[08/01/16] We're gearing up for a great school year! Fall Athletics will be starting soon, Boys' golf starts August 8th, all other fall sports start August 15th. Athletes must have a current physical and CHSAA paperwork turned in before starting practice. Call the Activities office at 587-6001 with questions.
We made it! Have a great summer! Summer school for credit recovery runs May 31-June 17 from 8am-3pm. Call 587-6031 to speak to our guidance counselors regarding credits.
