Something that I always preach to everyone who steps foot inside of the training facility - the 10/90 rule

The body doesn’t shut down the mind does. Studies show your body goes into resting state as quickly as possible after every exercise/workout. But as you get more fitter and your mind becomes stronger your body becomes better at recovering faster.

I wanted to point out a Before & After workout video with one of my young elites! When I tell my athletes “Repetition mean Results “ this is exactly what I’m referring too.

Shows you a little stiffness in his hips, as he explodes out to the cone you will see very little arm action and knee drive to generate more power - once he get to the cone to work on his change of direction, instead of planting his foot and rotating his hips - he hop to the cone losing force to finish through the line. ( 2 weeks ago )

Same concept - working on lateral movement, change of direction and sprinting. Inside of a different drill, but as you can see arm action and foot placement/knee drive plays a huge role on his start to finish!

Don’t underestimate the power of the pushup - the foundation that’s beneficial for building upper body strength, especially for the young athletes. I tell these guys every time they come in and train we’re not here just for skills and drills. We’re here to build our whole body up❗️

CORE STRENGTH helps with everything - my opinion it’s what’s navigates your body from hip & back strength to a strong posture.
Here’s one core exercise -
Physio Ball Leg Raises combo with a double knee crunch.
3 sets either timed or rep!

The Med ball slam connects with so many parts of your body as your doing the exercise - Core, shoulders, triceps, back, glutes and quads. Very effective & efficient that fits right into any program.

The young guys finish the session off with lateral shuffles with the skill sticks - this exercise is designed to help develop more flexibility, speed & balance in the hips.
