With sickness being rampant throughout the area's public schools, I encourage everyone to take precautions and take some extra care with your reeds. Double reeds are quick to pick up germs and hold on to them.
Take your reeds and soak them for a little bit in a hydrogen peroxide/H2O mixture. You can also simply put a bit of antibacterial mouth wash in a water mixture and soak the reeds for a little bit. Make sure to leave the reeds out to dry thoroughly before returning to your cases.
Take care everyone, and don't forget to change out your toothbrushes if you've been sick! 😷

For beginners, professionals, and everyone in between! The embouchure is one of the most important components of your playing. When we spend time practicing and begin to get tired, our embouchure can quickly change without us even realizing it. Check out this short video, and incorporate it into your practice sessions this week. Also, don't forget to practice in front of a mirror when possible! No smiling allowed! :)
