Ada Homeschool Group

We are a small but growing group in Ada area to help homeschool families or families interested in homeschooling.

We are FINALLY going to meet again Monday, January 30 at 7 pm at the Presbyterian church in Ada.

Alright, families, I know we haven't posted in this forever but I see other groups having all kinds of exciting things to do and I think it's time to join the fun! Who all would like to meet and maybe brainstorm about setting up some art classes or classes of interest for the kids and maybe even scheduling some things. I know I'd like to pick some brains and as always get more inspiration from all of you. We could get together at our house or maybe just the parents meet up some place and develop a strategy!

Red Cross Swim lessons at the Ada Pool, sponsored by the Ada Kiwanis are coming up in July. I found the registration form on Ada Icon. It wasn't easy to find so I've attached for anyone else that may be interested.

Two other FB groups to follow with lots of good information on Homeschool activities, advice, things for sale, etc... Hancock County Homeschoolers and Hardin County Homeschoolers. I really enjoy following both of them and find out what events are going on and other things.

Also, was just daydreaming, and thought it'd be neat if we had a Co-Op closer to Ada. It'd be really awesome if it could be held at the college somewhere and hosted or assisted by some Education majors that need some experience. I've never been to a Co-Op but the idea of them sound neat for enriching the education.

I would love for us to start getting together again. I'll even host the next meeting at my house. We could all just share some enthusiasm or frustration with how we're currently doing with schooling our children at home and maybe give some ideas or gain some insight from each other. Later February or early March may be good.

There is a book sale/mom's night out on Friday, March 27 from 3:30-7 at St Michaels School Auditorium in Findlay. They will have all kinds of displays for homeschool must-have items and several area libraries are cleaning out their books and will have several used book for sale. It is a free event with many activities planned from what I understand. I've never gone but am interested in checking it out after work.
