Our Summer Library Experience reading program continues through July and we have several awesome events planned.

🎨 Story Stones an Interactive Storytelling Activity - July 8th at 10:30am. Join us for a fun storytelling craft with painted rocks. Attendees will decorate their own stones and then use their imaginations to create their own exciting stories.

🐢 Sea Turtle Mosaic with Studio 4:13 -July 15th at 10:30am. Studio 4:13 will lead youth in a fun and creative underwater mosaic activity. Registration is required to ensure adequate supplies are available. Call or stop by the library to register or visit www.larl.org/events to register online.

🌊 Ocean Discovery Bottles - July 22nd at 10:30am. Explore the ocean like never before with this sensory bottle activity. Youth will be able to create their own underwater landscape complete with shells and sea creatures!

*All SLE events will be held in the Dekko Community Center Meeting Room.

Getting a good start on fair projects.

Our 4-H Mosaic Window project is a wrap. The kids were so enthusiastic about learning mosaics. Can you believe it was their their first time? This was a county wide project...great job everyone!
They will be on display in the 4-H building for this years Norman County Fair. Stop in and take a look. 🎡🎠🎨❤

That panicky feeling when you see just how little supplies you have left and how much ground yet to cover...😬

First attempt at Intuitive Malmischiato. Finally took the leap, after a wonderful class from Mosaic Arts Online with Rachel Sager at Sager Mosaics Overall, not too bad. I felt more confident with each pull. ALOT more to learn, but proud I took the plunge!
Like all things...95% of it was a success, but to be truthful...there was one "hot mess". One of many, I'm sure. That's how we learn, right? :)
Thankful to Northwest Minnesota Arts Council for supporting me with a grant to take these courses from Rachel Sager.

Four more flower pots complete! Like what you see...they are for sale on my mosaic website. www.studio413mosaics.com. Check them out in my online store. Pots are sealed and ready for outside (please bring them in over winter).
If theses are not your colors, message me and I'd be happy to customize a pot just for you! Please allow up to 2 weeks for production.

Busy bee today. Flower pots the last week=three (well, 2.5 really) pots almost complete. Waiting for one big grouting day.

What a fun afternoon creating mosaic suncatcher. Wish I could see them grouted (grout went home with each artist) and hanging in their new homes. Great job ladies!

Working on more flower pots...my last three sold before I could put them in my online store (good problem to have, I guess). Hopefully a few more can be completed before full flower planting mode. This one is waiting to be grouted.

One if my biggest struggle is to keep track of time, but maybe this will help them understand....mosaics take a LONG time. Bead day today!
