Couldn’t go to better folks!
The Ada Arts Council is proud to announce our 2024 Outstanding Adans in the Arts, Caleb and Jessica Story!🎨✨
The Storys have supported the Ada arts community through various activities and events at their business, The Lot. Since opening the open-air venue in 2022, they have hosted countless live music shows and events related to the arts.
“Our goal is to continue to expand Ada’s scene by offering a suitable, nurturing and sustainable environment for artists to congregate, as well as to exhibit their work,” the Storys said in a joint statement.
The Storys strive to highlight artists and musicians who might not get the opportunity to exhibit their work, as well as established professional artists, they said. This is an effort to give back to the community and give local artists a chance to monetize their work.
“We have cultivated a space built on community and inclusivity, which we believe is integral for nurturing creatives,” they said.
They have also sought out local artists to decorate the inside walls of the venue space.
The Lot’s weekly live music shows are intentionally free to the public.
“It is foundational to our model that art is available and accessible for everyone,” they said.
AAC presents the annual Outstanding Adan in the Arts (OAA) award to those who have made a significant impact on the arts in the Ada community. It is awarded during Taste of Ada, AAC’s largest event and fundraiser of the year. This year the event will be held on Thursday, Sept. 19 from 6:00-9:0 p.m. at the Pressing House (formerly Waddell Vineyards).
For more information about the OAA visit Adaartsok.org/oaa 💻
