Keeping the kids busy
I just wanted to touch base on the recent outbreak of the covid-19 virus and some precautionary actions that I will be taking to help ensure everyone's safety and health.
Symptoms of the corona/covid-19 virus are as follows:
-Shortness of breath
If your child has any of these symptoms I ask that you keep them home until symptom free and/or see a health care professional. This is very important and can not be stressed enough, as we want to keep everyone healthy and happy!
I am going to be very strict on my illness/sick policy. Starting next week, I will periodically, throughout the day, be taking the temperature of each of my littles; anyone with a temp of a 100 degrees or higher will be sent home until fever free for 24 hours. In addition to this, anyone exhibiting persistent symptoms of those listed above will also be sent home. Your cooperation & understanding on this is very much appreciated.
With this pandemic we can never be too cautious, in my opinion.
If anyone in daycare is diagnosed with the corona/covid-19 virus then I will have to close daycare for two weeks, to quarantine everyone that was potentially exposed to the virus.
Communication and honesty is key to keeping all of us healthy.
I am washing our hands more frequently (very often), as well as washing/sanitizing all surfaces, toys and bedding more frequently.
I ask that everyone diligently practices good hygiene and encourages regular hand washing with their little ones.
If we work together, we can hopefully all stay healthy!
If you should have any questions or concerns please address them with myself asap.
Again, thank you all very much for your understanding and cooperation!
