SGS Member Mark Seely shares the story and the music of his ancestor Justus Azel Seeley (1779-1859) at the SGS Reunion, happening now in Parkersburg, WV.

During the afternoon session we heard a number of brief presentations from members sharing stories about their branches of the Seeley family tree. Mark Seely, shared a couple of tunes on his harmonica that evoked his pioneer ancestors including this one that is especially appropriate for the location of this year's reunion.

The first verse of the 2015 SGS International Reunion theme song with lyrics by SGS Member Lou Ann Seeley. See the lyrics in the comment section.

Well! It seems like only yesterday many of us were together in Grand Rapids, but it's been more than a week since the final breakfast gathering on Sunday Aug. 11. As mentioned in the previous post, we had a special treat on the last night of the reunion when Karen Hadley shared a birthday yodel with Carol Seeley Scott. Danise Farren was there with cell phone camera and caught it on video. Check it out!

Here's a little story about a group of Seeley's who travelled together to the SGS Reunion in New York. Full Disclosure: Only 12 actually made the 4,000 mile round trip journey from Utah, one of the people in this video was a "hitchhiker" on the day the video was shot. :-) Find out how to register at the newly-updated reunion page here: http://www.seeley-society.net/2k13-reunion.html
