Todd Nesloney is the Director of Culture and Strategic Leadership for the Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association (TEPSA). He was previously a Principal/Lead Learner at a PreK-5 school in Texas. Todd is passionate about education and innovation. Todd was a classroom teacher for 7 years before taking the leap straight from classroom teacher to campus principal in Navasota, Texas. Todd took over a struggling campus, brought in a brand new staff, and used his creative ideas to transform a campus. Todd worked in an environment where almost 90% of his students were on a free-and-reduced lunch. His campus and district were 85% minority and face many challenges. But that’s exactly what Todd thrives on. Todd loves a challenge. Todd was a “Classroom Champions” teacher and worked with Olympic and Paralympic athletes in his classroom. Todd also served as a member of the Scholastic Principal Advisory Board. He is an award winning author for his books Kids Deserve It!, Stories From Webb, Sparks in the Dark, When Kids Lead and his newest book In This Season. He has also published a children’s book, Spruce & Lucy.

Happy Birthday U.S. Army!! 🥳🥳
On June 14th, 1775 George Washington founded the U.S Army to help protect the freedom of the first 13 colonies. Army is the land service branch of the United States Armed Forces. It is one of eight U.S. uniformed services, and is designated as the Army of the United States in the U.S. Constitution. Their role is to serve the American people, defend the nation, protect vital national interests. As of 2020 there is 480,893 solders; 336, 129 National Guard members; 188,703 Army reserve members. Motto - This we’ll defend.

Vietnam Veterans Day is put in place to recognize and thank those who served. Vietnam Veterans Day recognizes the veterans who served in the U.S. military during the Vietnam War. The last combat troops were withdrawn from Vietnam on March 29, 1973, which is now known as the Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day. Today, Americans are encouraged to display the U.S. flag in honor of the men and women who served, were wounded or never made it back home.
