Schools tighten up trainings as Sports Association releases fixtures.

Commencing with the screening exercise on Friday, 4th March,2022, Jinja district Games and Sports Association released fixtures to all schools which are expecting to join the competitions.

The association Chairperson, Mr.Musota Daniel expressed to Mulongo Sports how they have arranged the tournament.

The 48-school tournament was opened up with the 4-zone screening exercise which is slated for two days; Friday and Saturday, 5th March,2022 respectively.
These zones are St.James secondary school, Jinja senior secondary school,Holy Cross Lake View school,St.Stephen secondary school,Budondo and Buwenge Seed secondary school.

The qualified ones for the tourney were advised not to play fake students in the competitions which may result into serious penalties.

" I applaud all members who have managed to register for the event. Though the tournament is organised as a combined District-City tournament,we are planning to elect another committee which will be separated from the district to the city side.

" We expect everyone to abide by the process of registration to avoid inconveniences during the competitions." Said Mr. Musota.

He strongly added, " we have also through the letters we sent to the Regional Police Commander, informed the police to strengthen the security,so we expect it maximised." He boldly noted.

The matches which will be starting on Monday,7th up to 10th March,2022 will be whistled at Jinja senior secondary school, Jinja college,Kakira play grounds and Jinja Town council stadiums.

The girls football will then be played from 11th-13th non -stop. Mayuge district is chosen to be the girls football Regional tournament host. Camped at Bunya secondary school, different fields in Mayuge will be utilised for the games which will be on 17th-19th March.

Boys football qualifiers will then follow up on 21st-25th staged at Kakindu stadium and other Jinja play grounds, plus Jinja SSS and Bugembe stadiums respectively.

The 1st-4th April Regional tournament will then be host in Kamuli district, from where the best qualifiers will be promoted to the National competitions.

The National competitions will take place on 16th April,2022.

Asadumedia Uganda With partners donates to their CEO's former school.

Together with the team from both Ministry of Education and Sports and Ministry of Finance,the Chief Executive Officer of Asadumedia Uganda, Mr. Asadullah AbuRahmah Ssekonde ,on Saturday,26th February, 2022 paid a visit to his former school,in Jinja City.

This visit, was honoured with the sporting equipments like balls and other kits.

The event was graced with the presence of the director of the school,Sheikh Nuroodin Debene who thankfully received the donation from Mr.Mukoka Yusuf and Mr. Dauda Webiika from Ministry of Finance and Education and Sports respectively.

Mr. Asad,the former student of Iqra Senior Secondary School, in his communication joyfully explained that was what he would do for his school which nursed him up to a greater him.

He added and pleaded his fellow colleagues to also join him in the journey of the service.

He finally,applauded the team from the Ministry for such a kind ear that listened to his alarm for support, and he asked them to keep the passion higher.

At the occasion, fellow old students, Wamboka Muhammad,Abdul Hamid Kaddu and Summayah Abdul- Hakim(Old Students Association Committee) witnessed the function at the school premises.
