The Resource Center in Masindi 🧑🏿‍🌾 is learning how to maximize the potential of the dry season. Today we demonstrated basin farming, which involves no and small basins in the ground where compost and seeds are planted. We also applied compost to our tomatoes🍅.

We're excited to share that we delivered all our golden berry orders over the past weekend. Also, our Farmers Resource Centre in Masindi has been making amazing progress in testing a new drip irrigation technology that could allow smallholder farmers to produce food during droughts more successfully. The research so far has been very promising. Thanks for all your hard work in Masindi, Cleofash!

Exciting news! Agri Planet-UG held its first board of directors meeting on Friday, December 30th, which was a huge success👏🏾. We proudly announce that Janelle Nightingale has been chosen as the acting Executive Director. Janelle brings a wealth of experience and strong leadership skills to the role, and we have complete confidence in her ability to guide the organization forward. Upon a recent visit to the Uganda Buddhist Centre - UBC, we learned that in the Buddhist tradition, principles such as interdependence and non-harming are applied to agriculture to create a more sustainable and harmonious relationship between humans and the earth. By approaching our work in the fields with mindfulness and compassion, we can create a more sustainable and harmonious world for all beings.
