We Everyone's Child Orphans - WECO exists to provide care to orphans, vulnerable children, powerless young-women, and broken families located in Uganda, Africa. We provide many different types of services to the communities we serve. At WECO, we take a long-term approach to what we do and go beyond simple involvement in the lives of the children and people we serve.

Operating as usual

We're so excited for our neighborhood mothers of Luvule! Now that they have clean water, the priority for the community is growing vegetables - not only to feed their families, but also to sell at the local market. Our team recently trained them in gardening techniques and with support from our partner organisation Mama Kasinde Foundation, good quality seeds and garden tools have been donated. Everyone is so ready to monetize and maximize their land.

We're all very eager to see how far they will take this new income opportunity because they're already surpassing all expectations.

Supporting Young Powerless Mothers : WECO Across rural Uganda, families are living in poverty. When you are struggling to survive, education is not a priority. School fees are expensive, and so children are forced to drop out of school and earn a living. The vicious cycle continues.

Did you know that here at WECO Uganda we now grow most of our produce? We have 4 acres of land that is the future site of WECO Children’s Village (foster home units for our children, a primary school and medical clinic). We currently farm this land and we are able to use the produce at WECO Uganda to provide nutritious meals for the our children.

Volunteers interested in gardening are welcome to join us. You can also support us in providing quality seeds and gardening tools to our neighborhood families 📩 Send us a message.

𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 Uganda is currently under a 42-day lockdown due to increased cases of COVID-19. The inability to cross districts has created many obstacles for families to work and put food on the table. This week, WECO Uganda has been providing food packages to each of our neighborhood families to ensure they have what they need for the remainder of the lockdown.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
With the support from our partner organisations, and volunteers from around the world, we worked - and continue to work - to ensure that no WECO Uganda kid or child in our village goes hungry.

Look who's all grown up!

Come say hi to the happiest girl we know - Swabie! 👋🥳

We met Swabie as a young baby girl when she's 4 months old and our world has been filled with joy ever since! Swabie has the best laugh and spreads happiness everywhere she goes. Today, she's as vibrant as ever. She started school this year, a big thanks to her sponsor NuNu Deng 🇸🇸🇨🇦 of Pangea The Stars Festival. We have loved every minute watching Swabie grow.

One of the greatest desires of our Women Empowerment Programs where we support our neighborhood mothers is for their children to get the education that many of them never had. So while we’re equipping these mothers with job skills, we’re also making sure their kids - like Emmanuel and Vivian - get to go to school and discovering their dreams for their future. This is how we’re transforming families, and creating bright futures.

We're asking you to help with the initial startup cost of a small business like a tailoring shop or vegetable stand. These small businesses have the power to change lives for generations to come.

Mamá Kasinde - Women Empowerment Program

Small businesses are changing lives in Uganda, Africa. You can help a mother unlock her potential today. Because of your support, Esther a single mother of two is now receiving a job training and will able to start a small business (a tailoring shop).

In fact, during this pandemic, she discovered a way to serve others by making and selling masks. This is a radical shift. This is what empowerment looks like.

You can help a mother just like Esther today, send us a message: [email protected]

The pandemic has been hard for everyone, and it's been especially difficult for the vulnerable women and children in our neighborhoods. But today we want to equip mothers, like Mama Princess, Mama Anita and Mama Phionah, so they can earn an income and care for their children.

⛔ LOCKDOWN IN UGANDA for children ❌

❗Constant manual labour - cleaning compound, fetching water from diet wells, digging in the garden, cleaning the latrines, selling their produce and so on!

❗No access to ANY educational material, no parental guidance, not enough food and a lot of abuse!

We need your support to keep our staff employed and to help deliver homework books and materials like pens and pencils, food and sanitary supplies to our children ❤️

All children were doing really well before the lockdown and it is vital that we will keep them working hard on their studies 🧡

Please consider helping in any way you can: https://paypal.me/pools/c/8A83lxuqrG

Thank you so much!

Our Story

We Everyone’s Child Orphans - WECO is a registered Community Based Organisation (CBO) supporting orphans, vulnerable Children, powerless young mothers and broken families. It was co-founded by a generous individual Muhammad Sseremba a male Ugandan by Nationality born in a poor humble family in Kitovu Nuume village, Masaka district. Moved by his love and passion for children, he advocates for the rights of children and also offers them basic needs to improve their livelihood. Muhammad also used the Religious values to influence the moral well-being of children. Bible references; ‘Do not hinder the young to Jesus’ (Mathew 18:1 - 4), ‘I assure you that unless you change and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of Heaven.’ Backed up by his past life history, he come out with a desire to see the people we serve receive the opportunity to live in a nurturing environment, obtain a proper education, learn trade skills, and receive proper medical care.

Considering the poor nature of our communities which need a lot of help and support, filled with a lot of domestic violence, child abuse, neglect, torture, moral decay, ignorance and high levels of illiteracy and extreme poverty. And most of the families are poverty stricken families. This has led to an increased number of powerless young mothers, single mothers, orphans and many vulnerable children. Drawing them away and setting them apart. So it is import to come up with a program to be the answer to some of the problems in the community. Since Masaka is one of the districts in Uganda which have been severely affected by HIV / AIDS scourge. Looking at the spread rate, s*x abuse, theft, domestic violence, extreme poverty, poor hygiene and sanitation of Masaka town and slums of Nyendo and Kitovu village, many families have been affected leaving them orphans, single mothers, child headed families and leaving them vulnerable. We believe with We Everyone’s Child Orphans we can change lives and the future of these children through our targeted goals, objectives and vision. It is not late for us to save souls and future delegates and ambassadors. Then have revived lives at the end.

We believe that every life matters and our passion is to see those we work with follow their heart, run after their passions, pursue their dreams, and life life with purpose.

We Everyone’s Child Orphans - WECO was founded to be an organisation that builds dreams and restores lives. We take risks and risk it all for God’s glory to be known.
