As the INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE GIRL CHILD draws nearer, let’s task you our individual follower, friend or partner to shift focus to that troubled girl in your respective communities you feel needs help in form of justice, counseling & guidance, rehabilitation, motivation, mentorship or even hand outs like reusable sanitary pads, school shoes, a dress, scholastic materials or tuition.
This time task your self to reach out to her, with in your community.
Let’s all use this chance to make them feel special, valued, respected, protected and appreciated members of society by reaching out to them, in this special season to celebrate with them their day.
Do it knowing that at the back of your mind you are preparing the next generation of intellectual women leaders of substance.
Oh Uganda, may God uphold thee..

Let's Rewrite the Story!!
We shared lots of views about the Early teenage pregnancy with some of the teenagers from masaka senior secondary school. Through this interaction, they noted out that the most diverting cause is easy attraction to materialism things among teenagers under one same peer group. In addition they said that there is miscommunication among teenagers that lmisleads them into being victims of teenage pregnancy.
Hence Red Girl Initiative Uganda wants to fight the miscommunication and calls all teenagers to participate in this campaign.
Let's all come and save our generation.
Lydia is a resident of masaka kimaanya, at only 18yrs of age, Lydia carries a toddler of only 3mnths. She narrates her story telling us that it was due to the daily situations and rampant poverty at home that pushed her into being a victim of early teenage pregnancy. She gave birth to a baby boy whose father stays in kaseese and the 40k kind of help is being sent to her on a monthly basis. Having what to eat for a breast feeding mother has been through tooth and nail and sometimes she sleeps on an empty stomach...
Red Girl Initiative Uganda calls upon you to come help change a sister's story.
Yesterday the Red Girl Initiative Uganda had a one on one interview with students from the Blessed sacrament secondary school about what they think have been the causes of early teenage pregnancy, which measures can be taken to prevent this issue and their willingness to participate in this campaign.
They are brilliant, positive, challenging and educative young ladies. One trending cause was permissiveness and too much freedom given to teenagers by their parents and they think this can be prevented through putting up strict laws and rules plus guidance and counseling should be given to these teenagers.

10 YEAR OLD GIRL KIDNAPPED R***D AND MURDERED
#ChristineNamaleBirungi a 10 year old primary four pupil at blessed future primary school Luweero went missing on last Tuesday prompting a mother of all searches by parents and police that unfortunately yielded no fruit. Prayers were that she turn up alive but with the kidnap and murder craze running riot in the country lately little or no hope is usually in the hearts of those with missing loved ones. Namale had been sent for firewood when she mysteriously disappeared. Then the worst of occurrences any parent would wish for set in on wednesday when Namale's body was found dumped in a forest. She had been sexually abused severally before being strangled to death by people yet unidentified. It was so tragic but Namale was gone. One person in custody over the incident as investigations continue.

Red Girls Initiative has began its search on the teens that have been victims of early pregnancies. Interviews have been conducted and a few of them shared with us there stories and how their lives have been, the challenges they have faced.
These stories were divided in 3 parts and these include Before pregnancy, During pregnancy and After giving birth. These stories are so touching you don't need to miss any of these.
Let's come altogether to fight early Teenage pregnancies in Masaka District
The 1st story will be issued at the beginning of next week and every week we shall share a sister's story so as to be of help and to impact the cause.
I also want to post Mom's pictures today but I won't. Not because I don't have any in my phone but because I want to share the silence with those who lost their mothers. They also wish to post it but they just can't and today I light a candle for them (we EveryOnes Child Orphanage Home)
