ALED organized a high school Free market ideas workshop in Western District of Uganda.The workshop was attended by teachers, student leaders,young writers , debaters and assay writers.The participants were introduced to how free market powers trade, innovation, talents and civil society.
Jorum Mwesige(the administrator of ALED) introduced participants to insightful books like introduction to trade and globalisation, Adventures of Jonathan Gullible, introduction to entrepreneurship and CDs of ideas of a free society.

Our own teacher Li Schooland will be speaking at LibertyCon International in Miami on October 14-15.

On 13th September 2022 our team engaged in a meeting at the Embassy of the republic of Sudan focusing on promoting free trade in the region.H.E Ahmed Ibrahim the ambassador of the Republic of the Sudan,Ayman Suliman Ahmed the secretary to the Sudan embassy,John Mugabi Socrates the director of ALED,Peter Kisakye and Nsubuga Julius participated in designing frame work to promote Uganda's ability to trade with neighboring countries.

The Economic Freedom Audit preparations are underway as we finally confirm the participation of high level players in Government,Civil society,private sector and the six policy planners from the six political parties represented in Parliament.

Our executive director and members of staff had an opportunity to meet at Uganda National chamber of commerce and industry Secretariat in Kampala to discuss with different stakeholders in international trade around the country and region.The team introduced the stakeholders in trade and policy advocacy to the primer books on international trade and entrepreneurship by Eamon Butler.

Women and access to land rights

Obwananyini Kutaka is a project designed by ALED to advocate and promote for the land rights of women, orphans and other marginalized communities in Municipalities.
On 27th July ,2022 the local council leaders,village leadership committee, security,office of the resident district commissioner,land committee leaders, religious leaders ,civil society, cultural institution,some opinion leaders and media on the community were engaged in obwananyini Kutaka forum(Land ownership ).
-The cultural institution invited ALED for partners in promoting obwananyini Kutaka project.
-Information on documentation and registration of women's land .
-Big media presence enabled the women to get space where views on land conflicts and ownership is concerned in the Municipality.

Uganda Student Leadership Advanced Programme Leaders meeting at ALED to discuss extending education opportunities to students. We are working with different youth clubs and association to extend opportunities which enable youths and students to understand how a society become free and Prosperous.

Government increasing the salaries and wages of its' workers will not make good and services affordable,the director of ALED responded to media interview on the demand for pay rise of government workers as a response to the high inflation in the Uganda.

After educating the local community of Lugonjo on the Land rights ,land registration,titling and benefits full right ownership on land,are now going to phase two of engaging the local leaders on strengthening the property rights.
On 27th July ,2022 we shall engaging the local authorities on on our project of Obwananyini Kutaka in Kitooro Community Center.

The fourth Entebbe Business Summit has been rated as the best event in engaging academia ,policy makers, business Community and civil society.

As an organization we continue to advocate and support the strengthening of property rights of women and other vulnerable communities in Uganda.
On 8th July ,2022 two political leaders including the chairperson of the village and councillor to municipality were remanded by court to Kigo for criminal trespass.

We continue to extend education programs and trainings to the youths and students passionate about local solutions and community change.
On 19th June ,2022 our education department and staff provided leaders of Uganda Students Leadership Advanced Programme with classes on community activism,why free market and meaning of libertarian leadership.

The liberty library book booth provide education materials on on economic freedom, individual liberty, property rights,civil society and spontaneous order to the young participants at the Africa Liberty Camp in Uganda.

2nd Generation of Students joining the New High school Economics and entrepreneurship course aiming at educating students on the free market and other institutions which help society to grow.The program is aiming at partnering with 20 high schools with a target of 1500 to 2000 students.

Introduction to trade and globalisation books by Eamon Butler is considered useful by many young leaders advocating for free enterprise in Uganda.Through the support of initiative for African trade and prosperity,trade and prosperity materials are printed to serve the need to understand trade.

Remembering Linda Whetstone at the 8th Africa Liberty Camp,the champion of Liberty in all parts of the World.
Whetstone left a remarkable legacy of institutions, academics, students, and activists across Africa that have benefited from her tireless efforts to raise resources, share education materials , advise, open doors, and build a vibrant network of those who fight for a free and Prosperous society.Linda Whetstone was going to attend physically or virtually at the 8th Africa Liberty Camp.ALED will continue to promote the legacy of Linda Whetstone in Uganda and Africa atlarge.We appreciate all the friends and partners who are still supporting the work Linda Whetstone started.

We signed a Memorandum of understanding with the president of Junior Chambers international-Uganda.
The MOU defines how ALED will work with Junior chambers international in promoting free Enterprise ,liberty principles and civil society in Uganda through programs like Africa Liberty Camp, colloquiaum,seminar ,media and advocacy.

Kigungu landing site has been one the economic engine of Entebbe municipality due to its booming fishing industry.The introduction of licenses or permit on who should do fishing ,sell and export fish has led to an exit of many people who have been part of the business.Today the landing site is suffering a stagnation due to limited businesses.
