A big shout out to Eagle's view primary school, Buwenge-Kayiira!

Eagle’s View Primary School is an amazing local community project in Uganda. Not only does it provide secular, humanist education to three villages but as part of its support system, they also help members of the community grow food and provide employment to local teachers. How great is that?

Eagle’s View Primary School has, however, been struggling during the pandemic. During local lockdowns, students and employees have not been able to receive the support that they normally would. If you are able, you can donate to a GoFundMe campaign to support teachers at the school while the school is closed (follow this link to donate: https://www.gofundme.com/f/teachers-are-starving-can-you-help?utm_campaign=p_cp+share-sheet&utm_medium=copy_link_all&utm_source=customer). we teach the uganda national primary curriculum offering mathematics,science, English and social studies plus Humanism. we aim to develop self confident students who care for each other and their local communities,the school encourages students to be open minded and questioning

In primary five class,some children lacked where to sit and learn.
Teachers today offered to keep standing as it was the only option left.
Teacher's seats were improvised to be used by some children in primary five class who were lacking where to sit .
Furniture we have currently at school isn't enough to accommodate the number of children which is increasing each day after the school availing an opportunity of full bursary to 50 children from vulnerable families.
Any support towards this cause"furniture" will be highly appreciated.

After our massive continuous sensitization to the community about the need and importance to educate the young generation.The community has brought in more children in the school.This has posed a challenge of furniture towards the school.
We are facing furniture inadequacy .Each desk is supposed to carry capacity of maximum of 3 learners but currently we are sitting learners in 5s and 6s per each desk.
Children deserve to sit comfortable while in class.

During this time when children are in their holiday, it's hard to get some basics in life at home since most of our children at school come from vulnerable families.
In times like this, together with my generous friends we give some relief support inform of food and other necessities like soap, sugar.

I have worked on giving a new look to this classroom structure,it had leaking roof and porous wall due to old aged sheets.

He came to witness the ground work we are doing in the community.
It's great pleasure whenever such friends come to visit.

It has been a great day today at school.
It sounds encouraging when you see people joining you to push your vision.Most of children at school come from less previldged families,single headed families,child headed families;getting some of the life basics is hard in such families.
It was a moment of joy when one of my locals here gifted some of our children with clothes to put on.We strive to improve the life status of our children.
I hope more people will join the cause.

IN OUR EFFORTS TO MAKE SURE LESS PREVILDGED CHILDREN REMAIN IN SCHOOL AND LIVE HAPPILY AT HOME AND SCHOOL.
A mattress has been given out to Kayongo Gift and Naiwumbwe Shanitah.
Kayongo Gift is a pupil in primary one,both parents passed on after along life struggle with HIV/AIDS,she now lives with her Aunt.
Nawuimbe shanita is a pupil in primary seven.She just lost a mother recently.Shanita is fully under the care of the school.
Thanks to the generous friends who have supported these orphans stay in school and live happily.

WHAT A HORRIBLE WEATHER!
It has rained cats and dogs here in Jinja, Uganda.Heavy down pour with storms.
The old(first) structure at school got flooded,the roof started leaking causing unpleasant condition.we had to move children amidst the rain to other rooms which looked safer.
Evening lessons were nearly to impossible due to darkness in the classrooms.
As a school we now need to roof again this old structure because children deserve to learn from safe shelters

Nawuimbe shanita who lost a mother last week,she has been able to return to school to continue with her studies.
We gave her courage and promised to stand with her in all means for her education.Shanita is now a total orphan.Her dream is becoming a doctor so that she can save people's lives.
We are her saviours in order to live her dream.
