I like it
Train the brain... We dont care if our son does not know how to write when he turns 10, but we are proud that he is learning to be a problem solver. MyWorld Pre School prepares the little ones from their age for their future. They learn to choose the right from wrong, wisdom from immaturity and to be a human from people... Just so glad that we have secured a space for Areeb in this institution.

P.S.
Our son is almost 3yrs old now...

My World Pre-School is a forward thinking, developmentally appropriate early childhood education provider in Dar es Salaam.

Rather than accepting traditional approaches to education focused on directed teaching and rote learning of academic content such as the alphabet and numbers, the school has committed itself to ongoing research and reflection on how children learn. This commitment is clearly evident in the school’s focus on individuality, thinking skills, understanding, engagement, and self-regulation in their chi

Bean Bag Toss (moving smart)

Catching and throwing a bean bag helps a child develop the skill of grasp and release. A bean bag will help a child develop the hand strength required for handing a ball. Have your child sit on the floor cross-legged, kneeling or standing and throw a bean bag across the mid-line to a target. Tossing a bean bag at a target is good for coordination skills, but this activity can also be adapted to encourage children to cross the imaginary mid-line of their body. This activity is good for muscle development and hand eye coordination. And this helps them and teaches them how to aim and improve their skills.#myworldtz

Ice Play.

Ice makes an amazing sensory play material. It is always available and cool too! Ice and water play is the best messy play around. The simple act of melting ice is a great science experiment. This type of play opens so many avenues for exploring, discovering, and learning. We took different kinds of containers and filled them with water, soap, and different kind of things we found in our class, we Added food color and some glitter to complete our activity. Science activities provide children with opportunities to develop and practice many different skills and attributes.#myworldtz

Fizzing colors

This experiment was truly wonderful because the children love activities that are very colorful. In this activity we let the children explore and see different colors and outcomes. We put some soda bicarbonate on the light table and gradually we added vinegar. We mixed different food color in the vinegar, with the help of droppers the children put the vinegar mixture to the baking soda to see the outcome. The children were amazed to see it fizzing and it being so colorful.

Science activities provide children with opportunities to develop and practice many different skills and attributes. These include communication skills, collaboration skills and team working skills. It also nurtures intellectual curiosity.#myworldtz

Water play can be enjoyed every day inside or out. Children benefit so much from water play. Its wonderful play resources that children can explore and experiment within their own way. By offering a variety of water-based experiences and letting children follow their own ideas we can encourage their curiosity which will lead to a whole range of
valuable learning. Don't worry if you do not have an outside area for water play. Simply set it up in your bathroom! Get your child to paint on the tiles with homemade paint made with cornflour, water, dish soap and food color! Cleaning can also be part of the fun. Just add sponges and liquid soap, or shaving foam. Your bathroom will be sparkling in no time!#myworldtz

Muddy cars.

Mud play is a rich and engaging sensory play. It was thrilling to watch the little ones run their little cars all over the mud. Mixing up soil, water, and other natural materials like pebbles, leaves, or grass provides the children with endless possibilities for learning and fun.

‘’So, let your child be a child. Dirt is good. If your child isn’t coming in dirty every day, they’re not doing their job. They’re building their immunological army. So, it’s terribly important.”#myworldtz

A two-step art project: firstly, the children free handily painted on a circular piece of cardboard which allowed their creativity to flow. Then we punched holes all around the edge of the painting once it dried.
the children then tried to weave a ribbon through the tiny holes, a great achievement for little fingers!
Weaving is a great activity for children to develop hand-eye coordination and fine motor strength. It also helps to improve concentration, and builds resilience, as they keep their focus on the task.#myworldtz

From creating leaf and flower garlands, to depicting the earth as we see and think of it on paper plates, we had a great week celebrating Earth Day!

We ended our celebrations by creating little Earths made of bread and whisked egg mixtures in blue and green, which, after a sizzle on the pan, we agreed were a yummy snack!
