International Cooperation and Artificial Intelligence in Focus: Participation of IUHD Representative in the Erasmus+ Conference
Astana is hosting the Erasmus+ Regional Information Day and an international conference dedicated to Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education. The event is organized by the National Erasmus+ Office in Kazakhstan with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the European Union. The conference has brought together representatives of universities, international organizations, research centers, and experts from Central Asian and European countries.
Arslan Charyyev, Head of the International Relations Department of the International University for the Humanities and Development (IUHD), is participating in the conference. Participation in the event provides an important opportunity to discuss current trends in higher education development, expand international academic cooperation, and explore prospects for implementing joint educational and research projects within the framework of the Erasmus+ programme.
During the plenary and panel sessions, participants are discussing issues related to the internationalization of higher education, academic mobility, strengthening regional cooperation among Central Asian universities, and the integration of innovative technologies and artificial intelligence into the educational process.
Particular attention is being given to the funding opportunities provided by the Horizon Europe programme and the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions initiatives, as well as to successful practices of cooperation between European and Central Asian universities. As part of the conference, an exhibition of Erasmus+ projects and artificial intelligence initiatives has been organized.
The participation of representatives of the International University for the Humanities and Development in such international forums contributes to strengthening the university’s partnerships with foreign higher education institutions and organizations, expanding academic cooperation, and promoting Turkmenistan’s international initiatives in the fields of education and science.

🇹🇲🇯🇵 Turkmen Delegation Holds Series of Meetings in Japan on Education and Innovation
During a working visit to Japan, the delegation of the International University for the Humanities and Development held a series of high-level meetings focused on advancing international collaboration in education and modern technologies.
A key meeting took place with Kazuhiko Yano, Vice Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan. Representing the Turkmen side were Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Japan Atadurdy Bayramov and Vice-Rector of the International University for the Humanities and Development Nurmuhammet Shyhlyev.
The discussions focused on:
📚 Expanding bilateral cooperation in education and science
🎓 Academic exchange opportunities
🤝 Strengthening partnerships between universities of Turkmenistan and Japan
💡 Integrating modern educational approaches and humanitarian cooperation
The delegation also met with the leadership of SPRIX, one of Japan’s leading EdTech companies specializing in digital learning solutions, CBT systems, AI-based educational technologies, and academic analytics.
As a result of the negotiations, important agreements were reached, including: Launching a non-commercial pilot project to introduce a modern testing system at the International University for the Humanities and Development

✅ Collaboration in the digitalization and modernization of education

🇹🇲🇯🇵 On May 12, 2026, at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Tokyo, the leadership of the International University for the Humanities and Development met with representatives of the Asia Organization for Education, Science, and Economic Development (Asia SEED). The meeting was also attended by Mr. Hideomi Koinuma, President of the Turkmen-Japanese Association for Scientific and Technical Cooperation.
N. Shyhlyev, Vice-Rector of the International University for the Humanities and Development, presented the university’s achievements and priority areas in education, research, and international cooperation. Discussions focused on joint educational programs, interdisciplinary research, sustainable development, and green economy initiatives. Both sides confirmed their interest in strengthening long-term academic and scientific cooperation.
On the same day, the university delegation also met with representatives of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The parties discussed opportunities for joint projects, academic exchange, and innovative educational initiatives. JICA also proposed offering students of the International University for the Humanities and Development a free certified course in artificial intelligence, supporting the development of digital skills and future-ready specialists.
The meetings highlighted the growing potential of Turkmen-Japanese cooperation in education and science and opened new prospects for international academic collaboration.

🇹🇲🇯🇵 Strengthening academic ties between Turkmenistan and Japan!
A meeting was held in Tokyo between the leadership of the International University for the Humanities and Development and the President of Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, Haruna Nobuo, to discuss new avenues for expanding bilateral interuniversity cooperation.
The discussions focused on: 📚 Expanding academic exchange programs
🤝 Developing joint educational initiatives
🔬 Strengthening research collaboration
🌍 Enhancing academic mobility for students and faculty
Vice-Rector N. Shyhlyev highlighted the productive partnership between the two universities and emphasized the importance of joint programs in improving educational quality and preparing internationally oriented specialists.
Since 2017, 11 students from the International University for the Humanities and Development have studied at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies through exchange programs, gaining valuable international experience, language skills, and intercultural competencies.
Special attention was also given to the activities of the Global Japan Office, operating at the International University for the Humanities and Development since 2016, which continues to play an important role in promoting Turkmen-Japanese cooperation in education, culture, and the humanities.
The parties reaffirmed their commitment to further expanding cooperation, launching new joint projects, and strengthening long-term partnership relations based on mutual respect and trust.

развития планирует 15 мая 2026 года провести комплексную олимпиаду «Я – будущий специалист» среди учащихся 12-х классов общеобразовательных школ нашей страны по математике, информатике, английскому языку, обществознанию и истории Туркменистана.
Каждый участвующий студент (участник) должен зарегистрироваться на сайте https://iuhd.edu.tm/en/academics/olimpiads/HSO/ до 12 мая 2026 года. Конкурс будет проводиться на сайте IUHD и платформе Moodle.
Олимпиада состоит из 40 тестовых вопросов, на решение которых отводится 90 минут, и 4 задач, на которые дается 60 минут. Каждый тестовый вопрос оценивается в 1 балл, а каждая задача — в 15 баллов. Таким образом, в соревновании можно набрать максимум 100 баллов.
